Ratchet adapter for tap
Needed this to adapt a tap to a socket wrench fitting to clean up rusty frame threads so I could mount a trailer hitch. Adapter did a good job keeping the tap in line and secure.

A must have for confined spaces
I much prefer these over a traditional tap handle and they're cheaper than tap sockets. They also fit extractors. Everything works well, just make sure that the spring is intact before using it, because if its not, the jaws can fall out

meh
Had high hopes for this, but it doesn't deliver the convenance I thought it would. When the tap is set, it's difficult to loosen by hand. I have to use channel locks sometimes. Tried using this with a 1/4 inch nut driver. The head spins with the driver. Not helpful at all. It's still a useful tool when tapping.

Works pretty well
The diameter of both are a little large, but they hold taps great .

Well-designed square shaft tool drive adapter.
Two 3/8" sockets. The square-shaft-tool collets fit from 1/16 to 3/16 inch or 3/16-to-1/4-inch square tool shafts. This translates to a range of larger tap sizes. The design is excellent, but quality control is fair at best. Cleaning and lubricating improved performance, which is far better than any tap holders I have encountered. I had only one test I wanted to perform. That was to clamp square key stock in a vice and see if I could wiggle the tool holder loose by working it back and forth. Yes, I could eventually work it loose, but with an occasional finger tightening, I'd not often have to deal with multiple blind reconnections with a tap stuck in an awkward position ever again. Now, all I need to find is a socket drive that has a fixed position option to go with the tighten or loosen ratchet settings. A ratcheting breaker bar. Surely there must be such a thing out there, somewhere.Actually, the conception of these tools is brilliant. Too bad the execution falls a bit short. I'd be happy enough for the benefits to recommend, but I'd be on the lookout for a well made version even if it were more expensive.
