A beautiful period piece
I do collect pens, but mostly vintage ones. I saw this pen on the internet and bought it from Amazon. The pen is beautiful and of high quality. It is of a size that fits my large hand and the stub nib disciplines my wayward handwriting. Ink flow is just right and the nib has a little, useful, feedback. The cap screws on in a precise way and the converter screws in rather reassuringly. The vintage feel is there and the pen looks to have escaped from the late 1920s. I like it very much and it represents extremely good value. After some weeks I feel I should return to this review. After carrying the pen in my pocket using the clip, the nib will dry out and nothing will induce it to write except leaving it on a flat surface for as long as it takes. Others have complained about drying out and I have now relegated the pen to a role of looking nice. I have bought a Moonman M600S at a third of the price that writes first time, every time.

The only thing I do not like about this pen is the small capacity of its Ink adaptor - compared to Piston fillers however if one remembers to refill it frequently it is a very good drawing pen and writes nice Italic as well. this is the second one I have bought through Amazon and the second one writes wetter than the first . I guess its a matter of chance I might grind the first one down to make a narrower line. this should reduce the amount of ink needed. VISUALLY IT IS A STUNNER in cracked ice - A DECO MASTERPIECE for the larger hand.

"Good"
This is good looking fairly large with a medium almost italic nib (stub). It arrived in a nice box with a screw in converter and a blue and a black ink cartridge. At first try the ink would not flow so after flushing the nib unit in tepid water it was fine. A nice weight and well balanced it proved to be no effort to use. A good flow of ink with no skipping after writing a letter of over a thousand words. ( Sad but true I did count them.) To my mind good value and I may buy another Conklin..

MY BEST FOUNTAIN PEN
I love the design of this well-made pen, which is a smoother writer than all of my more expensive fountain pens.

Love this pen!
This pen comes in a nice presentation box, looks the bees knees. It also writes like a dream - better than a lot of more expensive high-end fountain pens I've used.

Pretty pen, dries out.
The pen body is an exercise in beauty. Sadly, the feed seems unable to keep up with the nib, and dries out in 4-5 lines.

Good make - wrong description/Pen.
Well keep getting sent one that is fine just not the one in the picture. I have had two like this. It should be described as Yellow Herringbone. Well it is on E-Bay? Be warned. They have now removed the photo. Even Amazon not sure what they are selling!!!

This was my first Conklin and my first stub nib. For the price I’m very pleased with the pen and enjoying learning to use the stub.

It really looks beautiful. It’s little bit transparent. In the box it comes with a converter along with two small cartridges. The best thing is .. it comes with a converter .. It has a translucent shine or whatever it’s called . I have to ink it up and use it let’s see.. I will update that . If I feel so 😊

I was worried when the stub nib came without tipping material, but it writes well enough fo me, although I only use it for cards. Zero issues and fees lovely in the hand.
