This is a wonderful kit for the fan of the Doraemon series. - Bandai's model kits are very good. The precision and fit are very good. The pieces are simple. This kit is very beginner friendly but is also fun for seasoned modellers as a quick project. - It comes with transparent blue parts. Since this is snap together you can switch between the solid and transparent blue parts. However it does not have blue parts for the sitting version. If you want to have Doraemon sitting down, the leg parts is solid blue only. - At bare minimum you need a sharp hobby knife to cut the parts off of the sprue. A side cutter will be helpful to rough cut the parts from the sprue and then clean it up with a knife, as well as some plastic glue like acetone. Get the thin, runny type instead of the thick gel type (will explain why next). This is a snap together kit so you don't need glue, and Bandai's parts tolerance is very good and all the parts have a snug fit, but, certain small parts have a higher chance of falling of or get knocked around like the bell on the collar. I'd recommend gluing the golden bell to the collar. There are a few other like the red tail ball to the tail stem that I'd also recommend gluing. - Be gentle wit cutting the clear blue parts. Because of the nature of the clear plastic it is more brittle. Also, the part where you cut the part from the tree will tend to turn hazy white so cut carefully. If the white is too obvious, dab the tiniest amount of plastic adhesive and it will reduce the whiteness. Be very careful. Too much glue will ruin the clear piece. Use glue with a very sharp tip to slppy it. - The parts are injection molded to colored plastic. Since the source material is flat shaded 2D animation I think it looks fine as it, but the manual does have a mini color guide if you want to paint it. - Consider getting the Bandia Figure-Rise Mechanics Time machine. The sitting version of the body is designed to fit the seat of the time machine. - My only suggestion for Bandai is to include an extra set of the white fist pieces, so you don't have to swap the fist if you want to switch between solid and transparent. Also, would be nice to have transparent pieces for the sitting version of the legs and arms. Overall, a quality model, a fun build, and reasonably priced. I'm tempted to get another one.

Molto simpatico! È da montare e fa passare un'oretta e mezza senza pensieri. Bello come soprammobile.
