I haven't set this up, it was intended to fit into a snug/movie room.I have had this out of the box and this isn't a toy, it involves planning and some reasonable DIY skills, this will be a semi-permanent fixture.I am now certain this 500-piece kit will not be big enough for the room I intend to fit it in, I will need the bigger 1300-piece kit.This 500-piece kit will only cover an area, for example, the roof lining of a medium-sized car 8 feet x 5 feet for maximum effect, as the lights will be closer together rather than spread out over the maximum 12 feet square that you can use them.The quality of this product is very good, it is a semi-professional piece of kit.In conclusion, this is a very good fibre optic kit, high quality and semi-professional but you will need to check the size area you want to cover, this seems will cover a maximum area of 12 feet square, however, the bigger the area you decide it needs to fill will mean the lights will be more spread out, this imo needs a fair bit of planning and you need to decide how close or far you want each light apart.

This cannot be installed by your regular amateur, it does need specialist installation if you want it to look right. It's better for larger spaces and looks great in small caravans for example, lovely effect of looking up at the stars at night. Getting it professionally done does add to the cost so that needs to be factored in. By itself, the cost is reasonable compared to similar units.
