Absolutely brilliant and sturdy!
The media could not be loaded. I wish I bought this ages ago and I spent a long time choosing between brands on Amazon. I'm so pleased I purchased this one as it has solved a painful problem for me. My 34 kg Boxer refuses to jump in my Nissan Qashqai, as it's quite a high boot (and he's a wimp). I usually have to get him to put his paws on the boot and then lift him up which causes me a lot of pain as I have a lower back problem. I did try training him to go up a ramp, but he was scared of it so abandoned that idea. These stairs are just excellent. They are compact, reasonably lightweight, and have a carry handle strap built in at the back. Do use, you simply have to unfold the steps, place the protective rubberised top straps on the boot and clip on the Carabina to ensure it doesn't slip, although I don't think it would slip anyway. There is no movement on the steps when a dog climbs on them.My video shows his second attempt at going in the car. I used food rewards to give him confidence to claim up, but he very quickly put his back feet on and went all the way up into the car. As you can see he has no problem getting in and coming out down the steps.Steps fold up neatly and sit at the side of my boot. I have two other Boxers (girls) that don't need this as they both jump in willingly, but one of them is elderly and it will help to protect her joints by using this.I can't recommend this more highly and I will be telling all my friends about it!

Ideal
I bought this to allow our old GSD/Collie cross to get in to our Volvo XC90. The rear platform was too high for her to jump in and out.The steps are simple to open out and fold away, one foot on the bottom rail and pull out to the required size. To fold it is simply a case of pushing the top step down with the bottom on the ground. When folded it takes up very little space and is light weight to carry. Our dog is about 45kg and the steps handle her weight without any problem.

This is a 5 step not a 6 step, the steps are slippery when your dog is wet
Good pointsIt folds smallIt is lightweightGreat if dog walks up and down calmly , without excitement to go walkies or step down to go to the beach .Not so good pointsIt isn’t a 6 step it is a 5 stepThe steps are slippery if the dog is wet or it is raining .5 step makes it steep for an LR4, I thought there would be less of an incline if it were 6 step but they call it a 6 step when in fact it is a 5 step.Foam top stabiliser arm covers are flimsy and poor quality .Top step has loosened after a couple of walks up and down .2 weeks and not trusted by dogs because not stable , step covers are slippery when dog is wet or it is raining .

Sturdy enough for large dogs
Perfect! Having tried a ramp previously, which was too much of a high angle & not sturdy enough for my 35k dog he is quite happy to use these steps. Lightweight for transport, compacts down nicely & strong, very happy with these steps 😁

Amazed
We purchased a set of these steps just over a week ago.Like most people we searched on line, read reviews, compared independent reviews. My husband was very sceptical, but said order them, they will probably sit in the garage forever and a day!!They arrived very quickly, to be honest, we initially thought we had been sent the wrong order, as we had ordered the sets with 6 steps, but they obviously count the ground as a step.We have a Mitsibushi L200 and Ford Ranger. We have an aging Golden Retriever and a 5 year old Labradoodle. Both big and getting very heavy and we are not getting older now and it's hard to lift them in and out of the boot.Well we gave it a try.We had to eat our words, we could not believe it.Initially, we placed small piece of cheese on each step to encourage them both up and down the steps. This took a couple of goes, with us both standing either side of the steps. Now they will both walk up the ladder, the Retriever will walk confidently down the steps, but our 5 year old Labradoodle at the moment is happy to jump out of the boot.We had borrowed a eamp off a friend to test whether that may have been a better option. But it was so steep, we never even tried it with our dogs.We only wish we had bought these steps earlier. We use our caravan a lot and inevitably the dogs are always wet from the sea or river. So my husband is usually as wet as they are lifting them in and out of the boot. For us, they have been a god send and worth every penny.

Need to train your dog
Our goldie is getting on and struggling to jump into our SUV. It took 4 attempts to guide him to use the steps but he got it eventually. Make sure it’s attached to the car to make sure it feels steady for your pet. It is much quicker to just lift your dog in if you can. We haven’t tried him walking down the steps as he can still jump out.

Sehr hilfreich

Parfait
The media could not be loaded.
