How and Why Birds Build Nests (How and Why Series) Paperback – January 1, 2000

Great photos accompanied by a simple text show up close, beautiful birds nests, eggs, hatchlings. Short and simple, I use it in my nature classes for ages 18 mo. to kindergarten, though any elementary school child needing something to accompany a report, etc. would find it a good enhancement.

This is a very short but well-illustrated and written book that's perfect for young children learning about nests. I used it in a preschool class. All the kids loved it, and some actually learned to read it.
