Look at the web page photo for dimensions. The real usable loop size is 5.5 inches, so not for people with big hands. That size may seem large, but that size is an unopened loop and kind of just fit on adult male hand although it stretches a little. .

All of them were in working condition, they get used daily and are holding up.

I assume a man measured these because they're closer to 6" than 8.5". Was hoping to use one as a wrist strap for my walking stick but they're not nearly long enough. Still, I stuck one on my keys, one on my favorite pocketknife, and one on my canteen. I'm sure I'll find more places to stick them as time goes on. Besides the size they're a good value for the money.
