🧟♂️ Survive, strategize, and thrive in Zpocalypse 2!
GreenBrier Games' Zpocalypse 2: Defend The Burbs is an engaging board game designed for 2-5 players aged 14 and up. With a playtime of approximately 120 minutes, players navigate a post-nuclear zombie apocalypse, controlling squads of survivors in a mix of cooperative and competitive scenarios. The game features story-driven exploration, tactical miniature combat, and modular tiles, ensuring a fresh experience with every session.

Excellent RPG elements in a zombie game, with limited scenario content.
A team building RPG with fast paced zombie combat and home base elements. In Zpocalypse 2, players take control of squads which are comprised of 1 to 4 characters, each with abilities, personal goals/objectives, and relationships. Players then use their squads to forage for supplies, and craft base components during the daytime. During the night, squads are then flung into combat with zombies assaulting from all directions. There is a similar feel to this game, with elements of Zombicide, but the unique characters and base building aspects of it set it apart. The rule book does a good job of explaining all elements of game, as well as having a prologue scenario that is combat only to get players into the game as quickly as possible. The board game consists of interlocking tiles, with alternative back graphics for scenarios/missions. The board seems a bit cluttered, and the reliance on tiles that need to placed on the board can make placing miniatures a bit clumsy as there are half space tiles that can make the board uneven. My only complaint would be that the scenario booklet is only 4 scenarios long so after you finish them, you'll either have to buy the expansion, or make something up yourself. This limits the potential of this game to maybe 20 hours tops.

Zombie killing with RPG elements.
A fun base defense game at night (when the zombies come), and a fun day time survival, crafting & scavenging RPG-esk phase to strength your characters. Quite fun solo.
