You can stretch it to make it longer or push it flat for storage, so it is very versatile. I am sure it would work great as a lid holder, but it also works great for sous vide cooking, and it's a lot cheaper than the racks made especially for sous vide cooking. The only difficulty is getting clips to hold to the little poles, but that's because my clips are small. It's also heavy enough that sometimes I just use it as a weight to keep the packet submerged. One of my sous vide containers is small, but I just put this rack on its side, and it works perfectly. Some of the rack is out of the water, but that's ok since I use the little sous vide balls to keep my water from evaporating.

Simple idea and at a very reasonable price. Assortment of previously piled high saucepan lids now stacked in 'library book' format and taking up less worktop 'footprint' than was formerly occupied by the largest lid. Well packaged, sturdy and well made product. Easy to 'assemble' in under two minutes - no tools required. The rack 'concertinas' to expand or contract to take all lid and handle sizes. Scratch-proof rubber feet to prevent any worktop damage Accommodates 6 lids comfortably.

Excellent product. Easy to assemble - the one problem and thus the 4 star review was that one of the little pieces that you screw in didn't have the bit inside to screw it in, but my husband was able to put something else in place to secure it. I didn't want to send it back as it makes my saucepan cupboard so much tidier. I use it for the lids and can stack my saucepans separately. It leaves it so much easier to retrieve my lids. It holds 6 lids from large to small although I am sure it would hold more lids if you were prepared to put them opposite one another but this wouldn't be as tidy. All in all a good product and does my job brilliantly. I would order again if I needed to.

I have recently redecorated my kitchen, carried out a certain amount of de-cluttering and re-organising. The pot lids were sliding around all over the place in a cupboard or on a shelf. I saw this Stainless Steel Pot Lid Organiser, interestingly marketed by IKEA, thought it would be the answer.And so it is. The product arrived in a small book sized heavy parcel, it is the work of moments to screw the posts into the base, stretch it out and set it up. Now my lids are all in a row, sitting comfortably, easy to grab. The instructions do show a fry pan on its side staked on this set but I only wanted it for lids and feel that's what it is best at.The stainless steel looks fit to last a long time without rusting so I can't see why this shouldn't stay in my kitchen forever!

Lids are the bane of any cooks' life - if you put them on the pans they can't be stacked. Who really wants lids on show on one of those bars? So the only alternative is to put a bar inside the cupboard. But if your kitchen - as so many are now - is mainly drawers rather than cupboards - what to do? This is the answer. It can be stretched so that you can put more lids in if necessary and so that it will fit your drawer. It's well made and takes literally seconds to put together. Recommend.

This is a good product and a great, simple design, but as has been pointed out, its an IKEA product that you can get for half the price in store - if you're willing to face the ordeal that is IKEA.

Achieved the aim of tidying my pan drawer and making lids more accessible. More versatile than other versions because it's expandable. Seems well made.
