The bin works well but the suction has improved so much that my battery has to work harder and wears down quicker.

I am giving this replacement dust bin 4 stars because it is an affordable way to extend the life of a Dyson V7 or V8 vacuum without replacing the entire machine. The fit was very close to the original, and installation was quick and easy. I had it swapped out in about a minute with no special tools required. After replacing the old cracked bin, I noticed better suction and improved overall performance. The seal fit well, and the vacuum was able to pick up dirt and debris much more efficiently. The plastic feels sturdy enough for everyday household use, and the release mechanism worked smoothly during normal emptying. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that while it performs well, it does not feel quite as premium as the original Dyson part. It still gets the job done, but there are some small differences in the finish and overall feel compared to the factory canister. Overall, this is a practical replacement that restores performance at a fraction of the cost of buying original parts or replacing the entire vacuum. If your existing dust bin is cracked, worn out, or no longer sealing properly, this is a worthwhile upgrade.

Great replacement for dyson v8 animal dust bin

This does not fit seamlessly on my V8; the lid exit fell off (pain in the tail) and It took way more time to install than it should. The instructions that were included in the package are garbage. The YouTube video is better, but. do not be fooled by the appearances. It will NOT take you less than five minutes to install the new dust bin because of the fit and possibly poor quality materials. I am annoyed that their pitch makes it seem so easy. It took at least 30 minutes once I took it apart several times. I should have purchased the OEM, but for now this is working. Hopefully, this will last more than a couple of months. The one to three star reviews are pretty sad from a quality perspective and I hope not to concur. I wanted to save money, but with certain products you get what you pay for......caveat emptor.

Fits well on my Dyson v7. I am able to pull the tab to empty it. It's not a perfect fit like a genuine parts but it's functional. No complaints I would recommend this a replacement if your original is damaged.

This didn’t work with my Dyson v7 . I can install it but once it’s in place it jams up and you can’t empty dust bin easily, or at all. I felt like I was going to break my vacuum by trying to yank the dust bin down to open it. It came in an order with multiple items so I can’t even return it because I don’t know what the original packaging looks like as I buy a lot of stuff online and have never made a return before :(

After only a few uses, the inside of the bin is much more scratched and cloudy than I expected, it's quickly catching up to the original 6-7 year old bin. For now, it works and it removed the sloppy feel of the original bin. This is due to the grey plastic dyson uses developing small fractures through their plastic over time causing extra flex and small air leaks. in the end, I'm happy, saved some money with Prime days. I doubt I'd purchase it again as the cost from the OEM isn't that much, and I like clearly seeing the dirt, (or bugs, swirling around to their doom....4 weeks no people does not give you the right to colonize my apartment. But do enjoy the Advion, the Dyson is ready to greet you tomorrow.

It fits the Dyson v8 but once you pop it in. The lid won’t close. I tried so many times, felt like I was about to break my vacuum. Will be returning it
