Abatron Wrk60r Wood Restoration Kit, 24 Oz

I was a little sceptical at first when I received the pots but once I started using it it was fantastic. Really easy to use, like play-doe. I recommend placing it in a warm place first as this makes the resulting 'putty' much more malleable. It's expensive but is easy to mold, can fill large areas quickly and hardens well. I was able to sand, carve and drill it successfully.

In two boxes is a paste which I’ve melted in my hands wearing first gloves. It’s ready in two minutes but to shape it was better after another 10 minutes. The filler was very good for me because doesn’t dry in seconds so I’ve had a time to put it everywhere where I needed and even I could move from one place where I used it too much to another hole where I didn’t have enough of filler. So far I’m happy with the product but we can see in a year 😁

I bought this to restore a very badly rotted window sill. The quotes I received to replace the sill were ridiculous so I decided to go down this route. Abatron is easy to apply and work with. Make sure to mix the two part liquid wood evenly and thoroughly. The two part epoxy is easily mixed in your hands. Essentially I rebuilt the entire sill from inside to out using the epoxy. The upper facing was pitted by removed rotten wood but filled smoothly. Creating a flat facing was easy and it sanded down nicely when cured. I ended up using two tubs of each epoxy to complete the job as I underestimated how much would be needed initially. The 'new' sill is rock solid and will outlast me. Highly recommended.

best filler I have found in terms of ease of use, coupled with strength, so made the filling easy as well as really robust. only lost a star because it is so expensive. i use it for all areas that are structural and/or very exposed so I don't spend too much on the precious stuff. the sellers really reliable and fast too.

This is a great product to use. Easy to measure and mix. Goes a long way so don't mix up too much to start with. Hardens quite fast but gives enough time to press, smooth and shape into place. Sands down nicely and takes paint well. Better in my view than other wood filling products on the market.

Great product as described

We used this to fill a massive hole in a roof beam that squirrels had got to. It seems to have worked well and because of the nature of it being a putty rather than liquid, it was much easier to use in the awkward space. Well worth the money when the other option is to replace a whole roof beam.

We live in an older log home and I was intrigued that this product was used by historical preservation societies to shore up and repair damage that can happen over the years. We have used this product both inside and outside to repair damaged logs, and even an interior bathroom floor that had a bit of damage around the base of the toilet. The product is easy to use, but you will have to wear gloves, especially for the liquid wood part of the treatment. It's a two part process, and even with the most practiced hands and careful use, it can be messy. The wood filler portion is also a two part process. There are gloves and a spatula included to make the process easier. Frankly, I found just getting into the filler with your hands and working it till it's even is the best approach. The product dries beautifully, it can be sanded, stained, and it is extremely durable. We always make sure we have tis product on hand for what may happen. Follow the directions, allow both the liquiwood and the filler to dry thourughly and you can't go wrong.

Highly recommend this the product - it's is absolutely amazing! If you have exposed wood that has rotted out, this seals and fills even larger areas. Easy to mix and dries quickly. Add a little texture and paint, and the wood looks like new. So much better than traditional wood fillers. Abatron also sells a liquid filler that is great for a pre-treat or to mix with the WoodEpox. I've used this for several repairs, and even after several years, the repairs look great.
