Better for you in my opinion than fish oil, less contaminants and does equally as good if not better than fish oil. I’ve been using this for a while, and I’ve only had one capsule that was broken, but since then, I keep mine in the fridge where it seems to hold them better then being exposed to temperature fluctuation and heat from summer.

Many years ago I took Omega-3s for memory improvement, and how effective it turned out to be; it amazed me! (your experience may vary). However, the capsules were made from bovine gelatin, and I hated that. I also appear, in recent history, to have developed a sensitivity to bovine gelatin (who knew?) and I thought I'd try these Vegan capsules for a change. Well, la-ti-da, they taste fine, go down smoothly, and no bad reaction to them whatsoever. Yes, I know, it sounds weird, but this was my experience, and I accept what works for me. If you are vegan, vegetarian, or just concerned about what you are putting in your mouth, I highly recommend these. Thumbs up!

The first time I ordered these supplements, there were broken capsules that leaked out inside the bottle. This made all of the capsules smell terrible and impossible to handle without your hands also smell bad, even after washing. I recently received a second package and the same problem persists. There seems to be an issue with the integrity of the capsules, as they keep arriving damaged. This item is not returnable, so I hope this review helps others to avoid this product.

I have no problems with the quality or type of product sold here, only the packaging. The bottle the pills come in is No. 1 plastic, PET, which is readily recyclable. I understand the choice to use plastic for the bottle rather than glass, even though it's made of petrochemicals. A necessary "evil". However, the paper box the bottle is packaged in is laminated with plastic to give it a nice shiny appearance. (No, the box is not waterproof.) This makes the box UNrecyclable almost everywhere. This company advertises itself as being "Nature Friendly", but isn't really thinking very deeply. There are lots of ways to make an attractive package to enhance your marketing. Stop using plastic coated paper, please.

Doctor said I needed to add this supplement to my daily regimen and I am super happy to find a Vegan version.

We have bought this several times over the past months and at first, we mostly loved it. However, the last 2 containers that have arrived have had quality control issues, making a huge mess, resulting in the loss of approximately 1/3 to 1/2 of the gelcaps. Each of the last 2 jars had several broken open caps that befouled the entire container of caps, coating them all in thick, gooey, liquid. The first time contaminated many other supplements before we discovered the issue. Our first attempt at rinsing the excess oil from the remaining intact caps proved problematic. They would never dry and remained wildly sticky, so had to be kept separate and not touching. We lost a lot this first time. The second time, which just happened, I emptied the entire new jar into a colander lined with tissues and carefully and thoroughly wiped as much excess oil as I could from the salvageable caps and tossed the rest. I then put them into a fresh dry container. Definitely not worth all the extra time, trouble, and loss. Its a shame.

The media could not be loaded.  These soft gels are easy to take and no fishy aftertaste like with fish oil. The pills are slightly big but very easy to swallow. No adverse effects for me at all and I love that it’s a vegan alternative to fish oil. I’ll definitely keep using these in the future!!

I’m not vegan but I love this much more than the regular omega 3. I try to be an active person and vitamin are important for me, this Algae Oil has many benefits to me, are softgels (easy to take it) and for sure you can notice the difference between this and other brands. If you are vegan this is for you 100%, if you’re not, you must also buy it and add it to your routine!
