Q: What about a hotel setting transmitting through air walls and regular walls but no further than 250 feet?

Walls would be a factor depending on their construction. Major factor is the top end units have more ability to perform.

Q: How many transmitters can be used with one receiver?

Can use up to 4 RXs (receivers) for one TX. There is chart if you look up the manual that shows you the various combinations where you can connect to other devices with RX and how many you can connect to depending on the number of RXs, i.e 2RXs and still transmit to 2 mobile devices.

Q: what is the range when transmitting to a cell phone or ipad?

100% depending on ability of unit.

Q: Is this transmitter able to push out 1080i instead of 1080p?

Yes. We use it with 1080i regularly.
