The Hunger Games: Illustrated Edition

This was one of my favorite books in middle school. I remember ordering Catching Fire from the scholastic book fair. Beautifully illustrated, this give new life and perspective on an already fantastic story. This is a great addition to any book shelf.

What a beautiful book! The illustrations are beautiful! They are monochromatic. They are beautifully done! The dust jacket is beautiful, but the actual cover of the book is even more gorgeous! This was such a great purchase for the price. Students will love this book, and so will adults.

I loved the illustrations, they were placed in key parts of the book without being gory or glorifying the violence, I also like that the illustrations were the artists own concepts and not just a redrawing of movie scenes.

We love the art in this edition. It's original (i.e., not just redrawings of movie stills) and true to the text while still honoring the movies as well. And beautiful - the pictures are really lovely and capture emotion as well as action.

I am a big fan of this series, so I was very happy to buy this new edition. And it lived up to my expectations. I like the approach to the illustrations, which give context to the story without completely ruining the imagery the reader crafts in their head. I particularly love the artist’s style (which has just the right amount of realism), and I hope to see more of it in similar editions for the other novels. In other words, it does the thing. I bought it once (for myself), and I’d buy it again. It’d make a great gift for long-time and new fans alike.

I’m happy to see this illustrated series! We were getting Harry Potter as well but they haven’t come out with the seventh one—starting Hunger Games was a good replacement.

Was put in a box with two other items, corners all around were slightly damaged. Illustrations are amazing, love this book.

The delivery partner in the Philippines holds the orders for too long instead of delivering it as soon as possible. I have orders that stayed in their sorting/delivery center for several days without any movement. I hope this can be improved. Other than that, I’m happy with my order and they arrive in perfect condition.
