who and where is this food manufactured? Is  Diamond foods involved in the process?

Diamond is the same as feeding dirt and I'm wondering why or where, you got the idea that out of the 6 major dog food companies, Wellness would be a sister or umbrella company of Diamnond? I did a little research after seeing your question and was pleased, yet some how not too surprised, to learn Wellness is tied into Eagle Pack. If people read my other reviews or comments I was a pro-musher for 20+ years and Eagle Pack was #1 for rigorous northern cankn athletes. Granted we dumped 50 lb bags of kibble into boiling pots of beaver tail, fish, venison, bear, & other various meats on an open fire in a massive pot. But the kibble provided the antioxidants & vitamins the dogs didn't get from whatever wild game trappers tossed us or, road kill or we killed it really didn't matter but what always matters is the kibble. That's where the money is we invest in our training and canine athletes. In fact in the back of a Petco back in 2008 we were asked (we, being around 15 of us, like a jury) to form our own opinions on all the various types of food that Petco sells. And it was nearly unanimous that we all agreed just by examining the ingredients versus well basically each other and where they're placed and everything else that a label can provide, sometimes corn can be the number one ingredient and it's still a superior food, but anyways it was almost hands down that we all agreed Wellness was the best food there is and I still stand by that today and that's all I feed my dogs. I'm a retired canine athlete now and have small dogs and doing agility competitions with, but I feed them this Wellness Core listed here.

Is this good for older dogs? Choosing between this or the Reduced Fat formula for my 3 not-so-active dogs (turning 11 yrs old).

I have 2 Papillons ages 8 and 13 years.  Have fed Wellness Core for the last six years.  Feeding according recommended amounts daily with veryfew snacks except fresh veggies and occasional dog treat they have maintained excellent health and have no weight issues.  Both are sharp and excepting the other issues of aging they have no vision problems or digestive problems.  They get free time out doors daily with observation and are very friendly with other dogs and neighbors.  Hope this helps.  Welllness Core has been their only food. I live in Upper Midwest where it gets very cold and they do not ever have a problem with that nor do they house soil.

1st of all I adopted a horribly abused Papillon who had diarrhea for weeks before feeding him this exclusively, and I recommend it absolutely. It contains turkey, chicken, sweet potatoes, peas, tomato, carrots, kale, spinach, parsley, apples blueberries, glucosamine, chondroitin, -NO GRAINS OR FILLERS! It has 36% protein, 16% fat, 10%fiber, calcium, phosphorus, vitamin E, Omega 3, Omega 6, vitamin D-3, and Beta Carotene.My little guy is thriving, healthy and happy! What more can I say?

Is  this food also for adult small dogs such as a West Highland Terrier?

Yes. I have feed my west highland white terrier this food since I adopted her last year when she was 4 months old. Switched her from puppy to adult food at 1 year old. This food is great!
