The Big Book of Beasts

All sorts of interesting facts and beautiful illustrations about our present day companions and their ice age ancestors.My six year old grandson devours and retains such knowledge. I can still devour, but retaining is a bit more tricky, nevertheless I too found this a fascinating book. Packed with information about the animal world it is definately educational in an entertaining, but non lecturing way.I realy enjoy the mutual pleasure we derive from this excellent book.PS so good that when offered another free from the Vine programme I grabbed it for my other grandson. He also loves it

This book is beyond fabulous. The pictures, mostly on a double-page spread, are so engaging, the creatures are well chosen and the facts are VERY interesting but not too tricky to read. This is ideal for my 9-year-old grandson but would be accessible to a much younger child and definitely interesting to older children. I have quite a wide general knowledge but this book had me captivated with new facts. Can a bat stand on its own two legs?! And what on earth is a Binturong?! Loved it.

Arrived promptly and was seized upon by the young recipient. Attractively presented and full of fascinating information.

The plot had so many twists. Every time I thought I finally knew who the murderer was, something would suddenly change, and I would have to build up my theory all over again

I can not get enough of 'The Big Book of...' they are all fantastic. Wonderful facts wrapped in fantastic illustrations. They are suitable for all ages and are books that you would keep coming back to.

We have all of the Big Books and they are all well made and informative. The artwork is beautiful and engaging while there are plenty of facts added in without overloading them. Brilliant books.

This is a great book for children.All about animals, very simply explained. Very well illustrated.Information befitting children five, six or seven years of age, considering the animals talked of are "beasts".Good buy.

Nice Book, may be a Little bit overloaded with same subject pictures on each page.... Bought it for my 2-year old, but finally we put it aside- will be back to it when he is 3, I think.

These book are beautiful and educational. My daughter loves to find the different animals on the page then I say a fun fact about them.

I purchased three of Yuval Zommer's Big Book series for my 4-year-old great grandson. The 3 books are very age appropriate, entertaining, and educational! My little guy loves them! The 3 I selected were as follows: The Big Book of Beasts, The big Book of Birds, and The Big Book of Bugs. His inquisitive little mind was filled with surprises in these 3 books.
