TLDR: Buy them. Buy them now. You won’t be sorryPics: you see them compare in size to my beloved Pentax zoom.I threaded the lens caps through the strap so they don’t get lost.And you can see the adjustable eye cups.I consider myself a fairly grumpy and hard to please reviewer. After 500 reviews I think I can count my amount of 5 star reviews on both hands, maybe one. An average decent product should get three stars. An excellent product should get 4. And five stars should be reserved for only those absolutely phenomenal products that not only surpassed all expectations but exhibit some kind of value for their price. Example: there is no doubts Swarovsky binoculars have exceptional performance, but at $3000 a pair, Which is four times the price of the Zeiss and Leica, would you expect any less? I would probably rate those 3 to 4 stars depending on their optical performance vs cost.So when I tell you these binoculars easily rate five stars, I am not kidding. And considering the price of these things I wish I could give them six stars because in terms of value, I rarely see anything that offers this price to performance ratio. I even hesitate to use the word “value” because that often connotes some kind of compromise. When you look through these binoculars you were not compromising anything. Go read some of my other reviews, and consider the fact that I am considered an optics / photography expert and then buy these binoculars. I bought the 10 x 25 but I’m pretty sure that any of their models will prove superlative.Build quality: Top notch. When you handle these things you feel like you were using a work of art all the movement and knobs and adjustments are silky smooth and yet stay in place. The ergonomics are amazing as well your hands and eyes are almost automatically drawn to the perfect position. They are simply a pleasure to use. Accessories: Pretty standard but very good quality neck strap, soft case, eyecaps, objective lens caps. The cabs are soft enough that they stay on very well but hard enough to seem pretty durable and I like the fact that both sets of cabs are connected to each other and have lanyard holes making that much easier to keep track of. Here’s my only criticism of the binoculars at all: which is there’s no instructions on how to thread the neck strap through the binoculars and both sets of caps and I feel kind of like an idiot not being able to figure it out.Field of View: exceptional for 10 power binoculars. This is even more amazing considering the objective lenses are only 25 mm. The image represents is so stunningly vivid and wide that it appears to be greater than the published specs of 342 ft @ 1000 yds. Feels more like 400 feet.Close Focus: The specs again prove to be conservative at a published 9.8 feet. I seem to be able to focus and about 7 feet on my living room couch to the television. This is astonishing for 10 X binoculars.Blackouts: None at all from what I can see whether I am wearing glasses or not. These binoculars are very easy to align with your eyes and the large oversized focusing wheel brings object into smooth focus very quickly. I’m going to ask a few other people how easy they are because I’m experienced with binocular use and I use the eyebrow ridge tilt method to avoid things like blackout. So I’m going to see how easy they are to use with someone less experienced.Light Gathering Power: these are true ED lenses ( at this price!) and fully coated with phase corrected BAK4 prisms. You can tell instantly when you look through them as the image is bright and sharp both in the center and around the edges. It is been a while since I looked through a pair of ultra high-end binoculars such as Leica and Swarovski love from the best of my recollection these Eschenbach really hold their own, at 1/5 to 1/10 of the price. While the prisms aren’t the ultra-high end Super expensive SK15, the image quality doesn’t seem to suffer.Diopter adjustment: Smooth and fast like all the controls. Can’t find the specs but at least covers +/- 3 diopters. This is a greater range then many previous binocular’s I have owned.Fog: The lenses have proven fog free and are mounted in nitrogen filled watertight cylinders. I was using them on a very humid day and even when my glasses started to fog despite being sprayed with very effective Quick Spit anti-fog solution, The binocular lenses did not fog up both with and without my glasses.Durabilty: They seem durably built out of some kind of rubberized magnesium, but but precision objects or not to be tossed about and I’m not going to stress test these things. They’re not advertised as any kind of water / weatherproof but they are outdoor binoculars. Again, I’m not in the mood to find out how much moisture they can tolerate. The company makes a line of waterproof and water resistant binoculars if that’s where your needs lie.Overall image quality and performance: Astounding.When I began to replace my beloved stolen optics, I did considerable research on binoculars: Hiking sites, astronomy magazines, birdwatching publications, and some tactical information as well. The usual suspects showed up everywhere and they’re all very good quality optics. Carson, Vortx, Zeiss, Leica, Celestron, Kenko, as well as camera makers such as Minolta, Olympus, Nikon, Canon and Pentax. These guys are also known for making solidly performing sports optics. Even companies known for lower end products like Bushnell, Wingspan and Tasco have some higher end very good binoculars. But the one name I never saw was Eschenbach. And it almost seems like a crime. The first time I became familiar with the 100 year old German company was when I researched what kind of magnifying glass Sherlock Holmes uses in the BBC series Sherlock. I immediately bought one and was very pleased with the precision and optical quality of such an inexpensive pocket magnifier. To me Eschenbach is like Schneider Optics, a company capable of producing products that rival their competitors such as Leica and Zeiss at considerably less cost, but spend little to no money on advertising and product placement and therefore are not so well-known outside of experts in fields that would use their products.I am wondering how Eschenbach expects to sell their higher end binoculars at (they make models that are considerably more expensive) when their mid range models are so fantastic. Granted the trophy line is one of their more variable product lines sitting somewhere in the mid to high range of their products, so I’m not sure it’s fair to call the Trophy F mid range but certainly that’s where their price points sits. So if you made it through all this I’ll be surprised if you don’t try a pair.

4.5* There is a lot to like about these binoculars. Great view, sharp, bright, colors are rendered in a rich fashion, easy on the eyes "soft" to look through - no eye strain. Right up front it feels like a high quality instrument in your hands (and I liked the box! ;). I didn't really like the shape, it felt unusual, but as I used them I found that it fit beautifully in my hands, easy to hold onto and has great balance, so I was good with it. However, it is annoying to put the objective lens cap on - it has to be just the right way (because of the eccentric shape) and that takes a lot of fiddling every time. Not a huge deal, but I cannot say that I like it. And you are stuck with it. I doubt you could find a round pair that would work. The loss of one-half star comes from focus wheel. It is metal, which is nice. It is deeply knurled, which I found a bit sharp, but it very grippy. The effort required is smooth, not too hard. My issue was that when changing directions there is about 10 degrees of slack. Therefore when fine-tuning your focus, it takes a little longer than it should, in my opinion, as very small adjustments don't do that much. This may simply be because it takes more turns than I am accustomed to to go from near to infinity. But, I didn't like it. Perhaps this pair isn't quite up to snuff, yours may be right on, without any slack. It does focus, and focus well, but it takes a little more fiddling - which is a big deal for birding, it isn't just what you see, it is also how easy you can see it sharp and move onto something else. For me, for the same money, I would go with the Meopta Meopro HD. Just as good a view and a perfect focus wheel.

Optics are excellent! Clear and sharp. In focus to the edges, No fringing noticed. Well constructed & a good quality carry case too.I can recommend the 10X32 Trophy D's. Great bargain at Amazon's price. MSRP is $ 660. and would be a good deal at that.

After searching binos for a while I finally got this one. Last Sunday I did test this binos for birding in a wildness refugee center nearby DC area. My wife and I were quite impressed by its image quality, broad view and sharp focus. I believe the quality of this binos is superior to the others with a tag under $500 on the market. Highly recommended for birding.

Update Jan 2022: I have had these binoculars for less than a year and have used themes extensively for birding. They have never been dropped and are well cared for, but both adjustable eye cups are frozen in place and immovable and now the focusing knob has come loose and has a tremendous amount of play in it. I registered the product when I bought it and have emailed the company twice to make warranty claims but have not received a response after many weeks. Too bad, because I love these binoculars, but I would rather buy from a company that is responsive and builds a more durable product. Two stars off from what was once a 5 star review.Original review:As a practicing optometrist and amateur photographer, I care a lot about good optics. I was familiar with Eschenbach through their high quality line of low vision aids, so when I needed a new pair of binoculars for birding I decided to give the Trophy D a shot. I have not been disappointed. The optics are clean and crisp with multiple high end features usually only found in binoculars twice the price of these. I love the 10 year warranty which includes theft, and the build quality of the housing and focusing wheel are top notch. My only wish is that they were a little lighter as they can feel heavy after hiking and birding for a few hours, but the strap does a nice job of distributing the weight well.I will recommend these and am already looking at another pair for a family member.

Es handelt sich hier um das Trophy 8x56 mit Porroprisma.Warum habe ich ein Porroprisma gewählt? Es beinhaltet in meinen Augen das beste Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, mit dem besten Kompromiss aus optischer Qualität und Preis.Optiken ohne spezielle Gläser mit niedriger Dispersion (ED-Glas z.B.) haben immer einen Farbsaum (chromatische Aberration) der mehr oder weniger, je nach optischer Qualität, ausgeprägt ist.Bei einem Porroprisma kann dieser Farbfehler weniger ausgeprägt sein und insgesamt liefert eine solche Optik auch ein plastischeres Bild.Die Eschenbach-Optik ist hervorragend und liefert genau diese Eigenschaften. Das Bild ist scharf und Farbsäume sind, wenn überhaupt nur minimal vorhanden. Eigentlich bietet das Fernglas einen optischen Eindruck den man sonst nur von wesentlich teureren, apochromatisch korrigierten Gläsern erwarten kann. Das Teil ist wirklich super.Ein Nachteil kann das insgesamt hohe Gewicht sein, aber hey, es ist ein 56-Glas…Die Verarbeitung ist ohne Makel. Die Haptik ist hervorragend. (Einzig die Objektivdeckel sind etwas billig und halten nicht gut, da könnte Eschenbach nachbessern…)Alles in allem kann ich das Fernglas empfehlen. Wer eine gute Optik zum moderaten Preis sucht, der wird hier fündig.Ich werde das Glas noch am Nachthimmel testen. Über die Haltbarkeit kann ich jetzt noch nichts sagen, das liefere ich gegebenenfalls nach, falls etwas auffälliges sein sollte.

To mój drugi zakup tej lornetki. Poprzednia tak się spodobała w rodzinie, że musiałem kupić drugą. Ta nowa okazała się jeszcze lepsza optycznie od poprzedniej. Nie ma aberracji i praktycznie jest ostra w całym polu widzenia i to bardzo dużym jak na takie maleństwo. Poprzednio oceniłem ją na 4 gwiazdki, ale teraz ocenę podwyższam na 5.Firmo Eschenbach wróć do poprzedniego paska, bo ten aż nie przystoi tak świetnej lornetce.

J'ai testé (via les retours gratuits, merci amazon) des jumelles 10x42 celestron trailseeker et vanguard endeavour. L'aberration chromatique était, pour moi, insupportable. Ces Eschenbach trophy 10x42 me comblent, une image hyper précise, claire avec des couleurs respectées, pas d'aberration chromatique (ou si peu que mes yeux non entrainés ne la voient pas) et la possibilité de voir des détails à une très grande distance. Je donne rarement mon avis mais ceux-ci sont tellement rares concernant cette marque que je me permets de le faire. Je recommande chaudement ces jumelles.
