David Hoyle’s latest book is a watershed in the ISO 9001 space! Now in its 7th edition this is a formidable looking text at almost 900 pages however do not be alarmed. Written in an easy narrative style, Hoyle takes the reader on a journey through ISO 9001:2015 in what he calls 10 parts (with chapters within), closely modeled on the actual standard, purchased separately.Each of the clauses of ISO 9001 are explained in great detail in each part and a very concise summary of each part (clause) is included at part end as a useful recap. This summary or ‘Key Messages’ is a 2 page triage of the content if you do not have the time to review the part in its entirety or in detail. This is especially useful for the busy executive with time constraints.This book steers users of ISO 9001 away from building systems of documents towards modelling systems that increase the quality of an organization’s outputs. This is where ISO 9001 has significantly changed since its first publication in 1987.The appendices include a useful list of common acronyms and glossary of terms which should be adopted by each organization with their own to provide the ultimate reference.In time, I hope the companion site is launched (inactive as of November 2017) to provide the documents promised within the text. This is no reflection on the author, rather the administrator of the site. I have been in quality engineering and management for about 25 years- I have always learned so much from Sir David Hoyle on his ISO 9000 books- I consider it to be the bible of ISO 9000- very comprehensive and easy to ready and follow.

Excellent explanation of the principles of ISO9001:2015. Well constructed and executed for the reader to understand the concepts and deepen their knowledge of quality and management systems. The author succinctly manages to draw the reader in to go further than just the standard’s requirements and explain broader business principles.

This is an excellent resource for understanding the changes in the 2015 revision. I have used the sixth edition for years, and never came up with a question that Hoyle couldn't answer.

A necessary book as a ref .

This book provides insightful and comprehensive treatment of a very relevant subject matter. A great aid to understanding and application of ISO 9001:2015.

the "bible" if you are implementing, upgrading to or just maintaining an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management system. As with his previous books on the subject, this book explains each clause, its purpose and intent, gives guidance on how to implement, and gives plenty of background for the standard, and guidance on best practise.BE WARNED THOUGH. its a BIG BOOK (860 pages). Lots to read, but well written, well laid out, and easy to read.

There are many ISO 9001 books in the market and to find the right book for you is not easy. Having worked in the ISO 9001 as an auditor/CB auditor and system implementer I can say that this is the best book. David Hoyle has a wide knowledge of ISO 9001 and can say without hesitation he is one of the few remaining gurus in the quality management system field.The handbook can be used as a reference book for all users and has an extensive information to ensure understanding and implementation of the requirements. I personally benefited from previous versions and the reason I bought the Kindle version this time was to ensure that I have access while on the move.
