Q: I would like to know when this product was roasted. Can the code be decrypted to reveal the roasting date?

Good morning. We use a Julian type code. The first 2 numbers are the year, and the last three are the day of the year. For example today would be 18022. Thanks for the question!

Q: hi is it still "Ethiopian Yirgacheffe" bean like the text on website indicates?...asking because the bag now just says "Ethiopian"? thanks

I just checked the bag and it does just say Ethiopian. However, the paper sticker with the barcode on the bag indicates Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. And I have to say that the taste has stayed consistently the same as Yirgacheffe.

Q: Do the caffeinated and decaffeinated beans look different?

I couldn’t tell. Beans are decaffeinated before roasting so color is likely to be same if the original beans are the same. That said, the decaf process can affect color, but I didn’t see it with these beans.
