The screen is positioned at an angle that makes it easy to view. It has some weight to it, so it remains stationary while punching in numbers. The moment it was removed from its box, it powered on. Plus, it has an OFF button, so you minimize the risk of draining all your juice.This calculator states that it's designed to coordinate visually with Apple products. To test out the claim, I placed this next to my Macbook Pro to see if it truely has an "Apple Design." And... As my pictures show, it passed the test... Sure - if I need mathematical heavy lifting, my spreadsheet or specialty phone app can be mobilized. But not for the constant routine stuff that only needs 3 seconds worth of basic math.Enter the desk calculator! Not a pocket calculator, but an appliance that is designed to sit front & center (or close) in your regular workspace. It needs to be big enough to key and see easily, but not a space hog. It shouldn't use another precious power outlet (or two - thank you, power brick). And it should almost never need a new battery or recharge. The display should be large enough and angled properly to see without picking the device up in one hand.
