Perfect Fit & Easy Install! Just installed on our new 2024 Generac 24kW generator. Nothing more than a few basic hand tools needed to open the customer connection end of the generator housing and a little patience routing the cables.Three install notes.... #1 - The included zip ties are trash, they cracked and fell apart with every one I tried. Bring your own! #2 - If you purchase the full Battery Heater Pad & Oil Heater Kit you'll receive two harnesses, but will only use/need one since each has a Y-splitter so you'll have a spare if you ever need it. #3 - The N1/N2 connector pins just push/lock in to the customer connection panel terminal blocks, no screw driver or tool needed.After making the N1/N2 connections and plugging in each warmer I could feel them warm up within about 2min since the outdoor temps. were in the upper 30's at my time of install. Each unit has a built-in sensor which only kicks on I believe below 45-degrees F.

The installation of this device is super simple. In colder environments, you can hear the difference when the equipment starts up each week on its test cycle. This is a must-have for any generator when the temperature drops below 35 degrees in the winter months.

Worked fine this winter but it was not a long cold one. Time will tell

This seemed liked a good idea but after a short time of use it caught on fire. This caused the fuses in my transfer switch control circuit to blow. My Generac 14kw started without a utility outage. It continued to run for hours and would have kept running if my wife didn't call me to tell me that it seemed odd that it was running for so long. Fortunately I was able to troubleshoot this and repair the transfer switch and throw the battery heater as far as I could. Eventually Generac will have a law suet because of this product. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
