Be aware, the input resolution is Low.
The box itself is nice, sturdy case ready for action. I bought this for a pc to crt feel yes in this flat panel market i still like the look of tube vision. So did i get it? Well yes... The max input is 720x480 and yes the manual says 480p is max. So if i get another i at least want to hit the resolution of 1024x768 and this adapter wont do so. But this said i see why the res is limited being that there is definition loss (as i knew there would be). Conclusion is be aware of the res cap.

Easy to use
I upgraded my set top box to Fios One and lost signal on all my other tvs which were connected by coaxial (old tvs). So I don't want the hassle of scrapping those tvs and running new wiring, so I bought this and it works great. Was very easy to set up. The only bad part is that the signal to my one new tv is downgraded to low def. So now I am buying a hdmi splitter. I think it's a bit expensive, but not compared to the price of running new fiber optic cable to new tvs.

Works with a Catch
Purchased to connect to an older TV with only a coax out to add HDMI capability and plug in a Chromecast device. The set-up works well however sometimes I get vertical line toward the right edge of the screen. Reestablishing the Chromecast connection can remedy the line, or there may be a need to disconnect and then reconnect the Chromecast device can remedy the vertical line. Despite the small inconvenience, grateful for the device's ability to revitalize a long dormant TV.

It works with Fire TV
I have an under upper cabinet mounted LED TV in my kitchen that only has a cable connection. I cut cable out of my life about 4 years ago and have been digital for all of my TV needs. However, that rendered my kitchen TV useless. I found this item and thought, hey why not try it. It's from Radio Shack and it worked exactly as advertised. Picture quality isn't as crisp as it would be if it was a hdmi connection but it's still a watchable quality when cooking. I would recommend this product and would buy it again.

Doesn't work!
Concept is exactly what I needed, but it won't convert the signal to the coaxial cable to the TV.

Be prepared to return it if not completely satisfied.
I am getting a bunch of flickering when I turn on the TV. I’m using the adapter to connect a digital cable box to an analog TV.

It Works!
My old set top box died, and the new one uses an HMD1 cord. This resulted in a picture which was surrounded by a frame of black space--black space which the TV was unable to Zoom out of. The adapter box enabled me to send the feed into the TV via a coaxial cable. This convinced the TV that the signal was coming in over the air, which meant that the Zoom functions worked. So I now have a picture which fills the TV screen--no more black frame borders.

Not pretty (don't expect HD output) but it works
Recently switched a multi TV installation from a super old box with RF TV out to a new one with HDMI/component only, so needed an HDMI to RF modulator. Tested it at home first with a Nintendo Switch on a HDTV...it was ugly, but expected considering this wasn't doing HDTV output. (There are HD modulators, but those are like $400 and I wasn't entirely sure the TVs at the site would support HD tuning)Got it to the installation site, plugged right in, TVs back up and running again. Looked a lot better than the Switch did at home, so a pleasant surprise. Course now that I think about it, some of those TVs are also old as hell, 480i/p EDTVs if anyone remembers those.
