Easy to use
This clutch alignment tool was easy to use - replaced the clutch in the old Chevy pickup and this tool worked great (yes, I had lost the little black alignment tool )Highly recommendEnjoy

Good but not perfect.
Like another VINE reviewer I had a little trouble with the threads. I had a small issue with the largest tool. Threads were not engaging for some reason and I needed to forcefully back the tool off and restart the threads. It took a couple of tries and then fell into place and works smoothly now. Tools are made of plastic and aluminum mainly, with steel pilots. This set is probably more for the avid, DIY'er as they are not the most durable tools. Something else I noticed that might be an issue for some is that the pilots are all metric with no standard sizes for older American cars and trucks. If you have a metal lathe you can easily make your own pilots of any size as they are of a very simple design. The set also comes in a blow molded case to keep everything organized and safe from damage. The price isn't too bad at about $42 and all in all isn't a bad deal if you only need them once in a while. If you work in a shop that changes a lot of clutches, you will probably want to look at some alignment tools that are made of heat treated steel.

Could be better
I have a few of the plastic single size clutch tools floating around, I've always hated them, but I've always used them for difficult applications (twin disc clutches...). I was hoping this would make things easier. When you open the box it looks fairly high quality, but playing around with it I found 2 problems- One, like a few other reviews noted, my threads were somewhat messed up. It looks like I can clean them up but why should I have to fix a brand new tool, and the threads are softer than I would have liked. Second, about 90% of what I've worked on is domestic with older SAE sizing, and only one of the pilots is a non-metric size (.75"). I actually could not find a pilot to match any of the bushings/bearings I had sitting around.

Very handle tool set to have
This is a must have tool set for any shop or home mechanic that does transmissions. I got this because of the numerous times the alignment pin did not come with the clutch. This universal set helps solve that issue. It does several different sizes and is metal unlike the plastic ones that come with the clutches. The case for the set is even very good. It also came with a pair of gloves.

Great kit
This is a very nice universal kit. I am using it to replace my old centering tool that was a cone that slid on a shaft. The multiple rods with a telescoping diameter is much easier to use and give a tighter fit. The case is necessary and nice to keep everything together. I really like it.

Looks high quality but I had to fix one of the centering pins
Would have been 5 stars if I didn't have to take the middle size tool apart and fix it. There was some issue with the fine threads on the inner black metal bolt, which should be easy enough to spin with your fingers. For some reason the threads were binding periodically, but I could not see the reason.Once I got it working I lubed up the inside with ATF and reinstalled the fingers and o rings. The silver body is very soft aluminum, by the way, so don't clamp it in a vise. The mechanism is pretty simple inside, and the fingers themselves are plastic, so be gentle with them.
