Not quite as good as OEM but waaay cheaper.
The way the auto engineers designed the latch on these door handles is ridiculous. Of course they break. I've replaced three of them now. It could easily have been made to be much more sturdy. Instead they chose to save $0.12 per truck and skimped on the plastic. This replacement doesn't have quite the same fit and finish as the OEM. You cannot really tell the difference between the two from more than three feet away though. The chrome coating on this replacement is not quite as smooth as the OEM also. I'm willing to live with that when I'm paying 1/5 the price of one from the manufacturer.Installation was fairly smooth but as I've replaced a few of these already I knew what I was in for. There are guides out on the popular video sites on how to replace this. It can be done in 20 to 30 minutes if you have the right tools.

Replaced Broken Door Handle and Worked Perfectly
This was not an easy installation, but I expect nothing else from Chevy. Overall time for installation was almost an hour not including the several internet videos watched to help explain how to complete the replacement. This door handle should last at least 13 years like the original and that's good enough. The price sure cannot be beat! Very glad I was able to find this part at this price! Most of the parts that break and need replacing on this vehicle are much more expensive. In fact, I waited far too long to even look for the replacement part because I dreaded knowing how much it would cost so I was very pleasantly surprised to find it very reasonable. Of course, they call this chrome and it is a very low quality chrome plating material over junk plastic - exactly like the original part. Watch for this stuff when it starts to flake! It will cut you badly in a heartbeat. Overall, I cannot complain about this door handle. It's exactly like the original.
