MonstrumGhost G3 5X Magnifier with Flip-to-Side Mount

Well built and durable!!!

For the price, this is a good value in my opinion. But a couple of things hold it back.Pros:- large objective lens- clear glass- good magnification- surprisingly good eye relief; I also tried the Sightmark T5, but it had awful eye relief (seriously was about 1” from the objective lens)- seemingly built like a tank with firm mount detents- low priceCons:- odd proprietary virtual center height—1.55”, which is in between absolute cowitness and lower 1/3rd—this is my biggest gripe. Granted, you can adjust the visual center, but this seems to further limit the eye box- not the widest eye box- no QD mount. Maybe this should be expected at the low price, but still. If you were planning on running a backup rear flip up iron sight underneath the magnifier, you’d need tools to remove the magnifier first- pretty large and heavy—despite its name, “micro” doesn’t really apply here 😂Overall/other thoughts:Monstrum makes a red dot that matches the same 1.55” proprietary height. If someone wanted to save money and get the combination of both, and they could live with the drawbacks above, I’d have no problem recommending this.As is, I ended up spending more money to get the Holosun HM3X. Different magnification level (3x vs 5x), but it makes up for a lot of this magnifier’s short comings. That is, it has a QD mount, has industry standard heights (and includes the riser plate), it’s lighter, etc. Either way, YMMV!

Decent Quality. A little on the heavy side but works great for the Price

Bought this along with the red dot. Red dot wasn't holding zero and walking. Sent both back to try a different set up Amazon and or monstrum will not refund my money I have provided them with tracking numbers where I sent the product back to them and they just keep saying it's not the right tracking number or they have it but just can't find it. Been going rounds with customer service for 3 months. I will not and do not recommend anything from this company if theirselfs and Amazon customer support can't do better would have given zero stars if I could $120~ gone they have their product and my money steer clear at all cost.

I switched to this 5x from a 3x magnifier from Monstrum, this one is 100% better with not having to have your eye a inch away from it to get full view. Would defiantly recommend this for anyone looking to get a Budget magnifier,can't go wrong with this one.

So I'm giving this the same review I did the reticle I purchased from monstrum. Super awesome very clear magnifier but it's co-witness height is different than the reticle I got from them so they do not work together. I had to get creative so that I could use these .kind of pissed off about this!! why would you not make them the same height. Buyer beware!!

I purchased the Monstrum Ghost 5x magnifier to use with a Sig Sauer Romeo 5 red dot. The center height above rail for the monstrum magnifier stated 1.55inches and the Sig red dot was 1.46 inches.On the rail they look pretty close to even thought the monstrum magnifier is a good bit bigger and stands taller off the rail.The construction is very solid and the side pivot is crisp and stays in the place in both positions. No cumbersome button or level is needed. The glass is clear and bright. The mount is solid and it comes with required tool.When used with my Sig Romeo 5 I could not get a view with crisp clear dot. The dot was more like a rough triangle smudge. I tried using different distances between the magnifier and the dot (within the recommended <2 inches) to no avail. I played with eyepiece adjust to no avail and used different brightness settings on the dot to no avail. At first I thought it must have to do with my astygmatism but my buddy who does not need any visual correction said it was blurry for him too when he tried it.The lack of a crisp red dot using magnifier would basically cover a 6inch target at 100yards and therefore really hitting bullseye was guess work.I think for the price point this is a very well-made magnifier that would hold up. It may work best with another red dot with more exact height above rail to give you a really crisp, clear dot.
