Great Beginner Skis with a few Quirks
Got these a couple of weeks ago for our daughters. They are the perfect size and both were able to get up on their first try with some pre-lake training. Ski's appear to be well built, which O'Brien's usually are. The only part I had a little trouble with was securing the pinch sliders. For some reason the right ski did not want to stay in place and I had to manually push them out.Overall, I am extremely happy with our purchase and recommend these ski's to anyone who's looking to learn how to ski!

Worked Great for our 9 Year Old!
After only a few tries, he was up and skiing. HIGHLY recommend. The only con is that the hardware holding the skis together comes loose after each try so it is very important to make sure they are tight. We used removable locktite and they still came loose. Not a huge issue, but if you lose the fasteners I think they would be impossible to replace.

OK
Bindings could use more flexibility. Toe piece too flat -not molded to shape of foot . Would be less of an issue if binding was a more supple rubber material. Room for improvement regarding comfort.

Solid quality with minor quirks
What we love… the foot size worked for a variety of ages (10, 8, 7, 6, 5, and 4) US foot sizes kids 5, 4, 3, 1, 12, and 10.5/11). The size seemed fine for all, but definitely better for the two older/taller kids. They do what they are meant to do. Everyone was a first timer so for those (2) that got up they didn’t go for a long period of time. We could definitely see them holding up and being awesome for a long day if water-skiing though. What we didn't like so much… my thumbs are KILLING me after adjusting the size for multiple kids over a long period if time. Kids were starting from sandy semi-shallow water, which meant the sand started jamming up the adjust/locking mechanism, so it took two people to snap/lock the smaller sizes into place. Having someone stand on the back of them is helpful; I smashed my knee into the binding twice trying to adjust solo (that was also toward the end and I was tiiiiiired and thumbs were sore). Getting smaller feet into the boot was pretty easy, but the two larger feet sizes struggled and needed some serious assistance (read squeezing and shoving 😬) from adults. We’ve never used a training bar before and none of us are convinced it was helpful; however, to be fair, we haven’t tried them without it yet either. The backs can still cross since there is only the front bar.For the price and the speed if shipping and overall quality we are still pretty pleased, and the kids had a blast and are eager to go again.

Great skies for pre-teens and kids
I ordered these for my 8 and 10yo girls. My 10yo has been cutting the wake since last year. The 8yo was struggling. These skies do the trick and on Mothersday in 62degree water after getting my 8yo up I strapped these sucker's on my size 8 woman feet with 147lbs on top and they held. There were some sharp edges on the boot at the heel so I used a cheap nail file and softened it. No complaints. The bar is stable and there is a tight washer just in case the bar wiggles lose you wont lose the bolt

Great Beginner Ski's
Purchased for my 9 year old grandson. He was able to get up and ski on the third try. Bar between the skis make it easy to control in the water. Good purchase for the beginner.

Connecting bar issues is being fixed!
Update: they are sending out a different bar with connectors. They responded timely and fixed the issue so I changed my review to five stars. I use these skis also, they’re good skis. I’m glad to be able to use the connecting bar for beginners. Lost bolt/nut to bar that connects skis on the first use. Found replacement in our garage, went out again, opposite side lost in the lake. The nuts and fasteners that come with these skis wouldn’t hold over a couple tries of skiing. For beginners, this is crucial to their learning experience. The skis seem fine. I’m waiting to see if they’ll send us proper nuts and bolts that fit the connecting bar without ending up at the bottom of the lake at every use.

Manufacturer defect
Went to use for the first time and the mechanism that locks the skis together pulled right out and created a hole in the ski. Didn’t even get to use them. Company says they will not replace as it is outside of thirty days. Would never buy from them again.
