Alpha Omega Horizons Preschool Curriculum & Multimedia Set AOP (Preschool) Paperback – January 1, 2008

This curriculum is perfect for an in home preschool. I feel like it’s a little to in depth for just homeschooling alone. But if your teaching multiple kids at multiple ages this curriculum is it!

I am a first time homeschool mom. I work fulltime and needed something I could do with my 4 year old 2-3 hours a day and on weekends. This works well for us. I was a bit disappointed that many of the cd cases came broken and or cracked. The books also has scuffs on the edges and minor wear and tear, packaging is to blame since it was not packaged well. I considered returning it but decided to keep it.Regarding the curriculum: There are a lot of extra supplies that are needed like popsicle sticks, paper, cardstock, cotton balls etc.. Since I keep a pretty green and eco conscious home we use things from around the house and did not purchase extra supplies for this curriculum. Upcycling is one of our passions and so far its been a breeze making use of discarded items for our classes each week.Each lesson is easy to read and gives lots of ideas. I have skipped over some of the activities and supplemented with others since it is just my little one and I. The lessons are set up for a classroom setting which makes it great if you want to use this at a Preschool or if you have several children you are homeschooling.

I feel there is too much planning required for this Pre-K 4 curriculum for the price compared to other comparative curriculums. I would have to spend several hours in advance to prepare a weeks assignments. I think there should be a plan book setting out each days schedule more specifically. This curriculum is better for someone with more experience homeschooling previous children or someone who has a lot of time on their hands. This curriculum is better set up for a teacher in a classroom. it is a nice curriculum set, just not for someone who does not have the time and/or experience. I want to spend more time teaching it to my child than preparing for the teaching. Just a personal preference.

Great product!!! Our family is loving the horizon preschool curriculum and my 4 year old is thriving on it! My mother teaches 1st grade and says she is doing work, and excelling at it, that her first grade students struggle with! Great program for families looking to homeschool their children with a bible based system!
