I am replacing all food and salad dressings I used with these oils now!
I recently gifted a three-pack of premium olive oils, and it was a hit among my friends. Alitalia truly stands out for its commitment to quality. The distinct flavors of each oil provide a unique touch to dishes, catering to various culinary preferences. One particular favorite of mine was the chili pepper-infused oil, improving the taste of my poke and tuna bowls. The range of flavors allows for a versatile culinary experience and they make dishes super tasty as to fully replace any dressings with a super healthy option.

Good oils for situational coking
The set that we ordered was the Rosemary, Oregano and Basil oil set of three. You can see that there is a small bit of each herb in the bottom of the bottles. You can also taste a hint of the herbs too. I liked that these are made from Extra Virgin Olive Oil and they do taste good. We're using these in recipes that call for these herbs and they work well for that.

Great finishing olive oil for salads and other dishes.
I found this variety pack to be a great way to try out several different flavors from Olitalia. My favorites are garlic and chili pepper. When added to a salad or eaten with some bread these are perfect! The chili pepper had a little bit of heat but it wasn’t too bad. If these are used in cooking, the flavor gets cooked out so these are more of a finishing oil.

You can taste the truffle. With the other two, the flavor is almost unnoticeable.
It is currently cold across the country, and it was cold in the evening when this was delivered. I was very surprised that the truffle oil was a solid mass inside the bottle. So, I’m unsure how much is oil and how much is other stuff.First off, I am not an olive oil specialist. Nor am I informed on the do’s and don’ts, I just know that olive oil can be used for high heat cooking, so that is my primary purpose for using it. Except for drizzling it on things, like homemade hummus, and dipping breads in it.Two days after they arrived, I started using them, in place of my unflavored olive oil. The truffle ingredients did liquefy by that point The truffle is an acquired taste, but it doesn’t enhance the flavors of things I have cooked. For example, I used it with making stuffing the other night. I added it in with the butter and then sautéed the onions and celery in it. It enhanced and slightly changed the overall flavor of the dish. The family liked it. When tasting the oil by itself, there is almost an artificial taste to it.The next night I used the infused garlic oil. I made a recipe that involved, garlic and honey, and created a sauce to serve over chicken. The garlic flavor is not very strong. By the time I added the other ingredients, it wasn’t noticed. I did end up, adding in the recommended amount of fresh garlic for the dish. The chili pepper flavor is being used in my Mexican dishes. Once again, the flavor is not very strong. Maybe these oils are better for just enhancing dishes that are already cooked, and lightly sprinkled on the top. However, they do cook nicely, without providing an overwhelming presence. I do like the very mild infusion of flavor into sautéed vegetables. I feel they are used more to enhance the flavor of a dish. Each bottle has a silver wrapper at the top, once you remove that, you’ll notice that there is a gold lid that is also sealed. I do feel like this provides quality protection for the oils. The opening inside the jar is rather large, so it’s easy to pour out too much. There is a little insert inside the jar, so you don’t have to worry about the solid ingredients coming out the top. (See photos above). The Best Buy date on my jars is in 2025, so I would have had over a year to use them. But, now that they are opened, the shelf life isn’t quite as long. (I don’t honestly know how long the shelf life is once you open the bottles). I do know that storing olive oil in glass is better than storing it in plastic.

Nice
I'm going to start with the oil itself, and then I will talk about the different flavors.High quality and fresh olive oil is very pungent and has a peppery taste that tickles the back of your throat. Olive oil connoisseurs are much like wine connoisseurs in that they don't expect inexpensive offerings to give them the taste and bouquet of a higher quality wine, but that doesn't mean it isn't flavorful in its own way. This oil is (in my humble opinion) flavorful in its own way. It is more gold vs green, so I expected it to be a mild flavored oil, and it is. It has a smooth texture, fragrant bouquet, clear golden color, and has buttery undertones. Now for the added/infused flavors. Let's keep in mind that flavor is a subjective thing. For example, I hate Brussel sprouts, but lots of people love them. You may hate something I find appetizing, so I'm goint to try my very best to describe the flavors and then give my opinion of the flavor.1. The garlic infused oil is subtle, but still adds that distinct garlic flavor without overpowering the flavor of the oil. In my humble opinion, it is delicious. It would be great in pasta salads, green salads, risotto, or any other dish where the oil is a main flavor ingredient.2. The pepper infused oil is also very flavorful, but not particularly overpowering. It adds a little kick without a lot of heat. It would also be a good addition to any dish where oil is a main flavor ingredient.3. The artificially flavored truffle oil is very pungent, and has an intense flavor. I typically like the flavor of truffles, but I'm not a big fan of this oil. I can only taste the truffle flavoring which is overpowering the smooth buttery flavor of the oil. This is just my opinion, so if you just can't get enough truffle flavor, you may find this oil heavenly. For the purposes of my review, I did not like it.Overall, the oils are nice, and the infused flavors are enjoyable. The artificially flavoring was a bit too much for my taste. All that being said, I would still recommend these oils.
