AHHH LOVE REID AND VIA!!!
4.5First thing, Reid is definitely not a 21-year-old boy. No way do they exist like that, but I guess that's why fictional men are always better. Second, I had a lot of mixed feelings on a lot of things and felt that the book could've been a bit shorter but I still really enjoyed it.Okay, so this book follows Via after she gets divorced and moves across the country to a small town in Maine (i think it's Maine). She completely changes her life and career, but she is hopeful that she is where she was always meant to be. On her first week there, her sister convinces her to get dressed up and go out now that she is single, and although she is hesitant she does it anyway. Via doesn't expect anything to come out of this night until she locks eyes with Reid in a bar full of people as he is there celebrating his 21st birthday. One thing leads to another which leads to a one-night stand, where both characters did enjoy themselves but also never thought they would see each other ever again... even if deep down, they both wanted to.Eventually, they do run into each other again and this time Reid doesn't let Via get away from him that easily. Time and time again he proves to her how much he wants to truly get to know her, that he is serious about her and wants more than a one-night stand.I understood where Via was coming from. With their 11-year age gap and being recently divorced, Via is hesitant to pursue anything. She wants to focus on finding herself, but also can't deny the draw she has towards Reid. They start by getting to know each other and eventually can't help their feelings for each other.Reid was basically perfect and wonderful. No faults from him and I miss him already. The only reason this wasn't a 5-star for me was because of personal preferences. I don't like when books give into the stigma of "missing out" when you get married young - coming from someone who did get married young, so this is definitely biased. I also thought some parts were unnecessary and made the book longer than it needed to be but I will not specify to avoid spoilers. Lastly, I felt the promo of this book focused on things that weren't super relevant to the actual book so I was left waiting for some things that I felt were just brushed over when I expected for it to play a bigger part in the book.Overall, I did love this book! It was so easy to read, even though it was on the longer side, I still found myself flying through it. I loved the characters and their growth throughout the book. Reid is perfect. I was rooting for them the whole time and I am also excited for the next book based on the little peek we already got.

a sweet read
I’m all about the reverse age gap which are so hard to find. I loved their chemistry and how sweet their story is. Lots of love in this book. A refreshing story through and through. I loved it.

sweet and spicy small town romance
The spice is spicing but I definitely love the sweet parts where they talk about life and dreams. I love that this story touched on mistakes, changes and actually working where or on what you love instead of just what can make you money.Via was such a great character, she did everything she was supposed to do. The big fancy job and quick marriage. Instead of being allowed to thrive in her own element, she was pressured by her parents to take the safe road. Now newly divorced, in a new town far away from the life her parents approved of, she meets a younger guy who seems to good to be true.Reid didn’t expect his one night stand to be this magnetic, she’s beautiful, shy with this need to live life. He’s not ready to let her go and call it quits. He’s here to fight for what could be a chance at love

The conflict was all in her head
It felt more like a coming of age for the female main character than anything else. She finally grew a backbone and gave herself permission to live her own life.It was a nice read, but not groundbreaking, or exciting, or revolutionary. An insecure woman moves to a small, cozy town and meets a nice guy. They get together. Easy reading, but not compelling.

obsessed
I could not put this book down! Like I read all 426 pages straight through could not put it down. Ordered the physical copy when I was 25% in could not put it down. Slightly dying inside that book 2 isn’t coming out until October could not put it down.Recently divorced Via moves across the country to start fresh. She meets Reid at a bar, and despite being 11 years his senior, there’s an immediate attraction that turns into a one night stand. Except neither can stop thinking about the other for weeks until they run into each other again - when she is on a date with his dad.Reid was amazing. His maturity and patience made him perfect for Via. His skills in the bedroom were definitely an added bonus. I adored Via. It takes so much so start over fresh after a divorce, especially given the circumstances surrounding it all, and she was just so strong and fierce and someone I would want to be friends with. And there was even a skating date for my hockey loving heart!Loved all the side characters, especially Via’s sister and Reid’s sister! Hoping to see them both get a happy ending in future books.Read if you enjoy:Reverse age gapFate/SoulmatesTattooed with glasses MMCHe falls first

Wow 🤩Where do I start. One word “Reid” OMG swoon worthy, he’s smart, sweet, head screwed on, good morals and just an all round darling. I love him.Via I adore and admire, she’s a little broken but who isn’t, I adore the way she rambles when she’s nervous. She does have confidence from years of being a lawyer but being thrust into unknown territory forces her to become nervous and vulnerable, and when she feels that way she rambles which I completely relate to.She is shy in certain aspects of her life, due to past experiences and inexperiences.Reid lacks no patience where Via is concerned, he does nothing but show his affection for her and stand by her side until she is ready. There are definitely deeper topics touched on in this book such as cheating, domestic violence and narcissistic behaviours and what that can do to a persons confidence. So please read the trigger warnings. It does touch on infertility as well. While it did delve into deeper topics, it lacked no humour. There were scenes I was full out giggling to myself.I appreciate the relationships in this books as well not just Reid and Via, but Via and her sister Izzy, the relationships she forms with her book club girlies, Reid’s relationship with his Dad, sister and niece too cute. This book really was about what taking a risk can do for a person, that second chances are possible, and some chemistry just cannot be denied.Safe to say Reid and Via I absolutely adore, and the little spoiler for the next instalment YESSSS 🙌🏻

An Entertaining Read
Pure chance (given I never read blurbs) this book has exactly the same tropes as the one just before. She gap, almost love triangle, same relationship between the two prospects. And just as I loved that one, I love this one too. Clicked from page 1. Really enjoyable.

Reid and Via ♡
This was a really sweet smalltown read. It's all about finding love again, and age is nothing but a number ♡ This is my first read by this author, but I'll definitely be coming back for more when I need a nice easy read.At 32, Via never thought she'd be divorced and moving across the country to have a fresh start. She thought her marriage was forever and that she'd be on her way to motherhood. But all that came to a screeching halt when her husband told her he was expecting a child with someone else. His Secretary. So she packed up her heart and life, quit her job as a lawyer, and fled across the country to a little town in Maine. Buying a two story building before even seeing probably wasn't the smartest idea. It needed a lot of work, but Via was going to live her life her way now. Her sister urges her to get back out there and get over her ex-husband by getting under someone new. Via never having had a one night stand, was nervous, to say the least, but the twenty something guy with a chiseled jaw and glasses had her pulse racing just at the sight of him. One night, that's all it was meant to be, but with their chemistry, one night wasn't enough. But even so, Via walks away. The next time their paths cross, though, Via is on a date with Derrek, the man helping to restore her building so she can open an art studio. The only catch? Derrek just happens to be Reids' father. One is 11 years younger, and one is 11 years older. Talk about awkward. But only one makes her heart race. Society might not agree, but Vias' heart disagrees ♡Recommend Reading 📚
