We grabbed this compost bin to replace a dilapidated ground-sitting model that'd seen its last days. So far, I'm completely pleased, and definitely like a few features that this offers compared to other more basic options. The overall construction of this is solid...thick plastic panels, screwed together at regular intervals, and a well-sized tubular steel base that keeps it chest-height and off the ground. Assembly was easy but time-consuming, as there are quite a few little screws and nuts and such. No worries, though...a small cordless screwdriver (with a magnetic bit) made decent work of it all. Functionally, I love the idea of the two internal compartments. This idea lets one side load up and continue composting while you begin to fill the other. I also love the ease of turning the pile simply by rotating the entire drum. The drum can be a bit cumbersome to turn once it's a bit heavy, but it also doesn't have a handle to break, and has plenty of hand-holds in its design...grab on, give it a whirl, and let it ride. The access doors are also easy to slide open and shut, and provide decent access to dump your veggie scraps into the bin. The unit is doing a great job so far with our organic waste, and we're getting close to our first few gallons of fresh, tasty compost to be ready. Altogether, I'm quite pleased, and look forward to this unit lasting for a number of years to come.

Works well - it is discreet, relatively easy to put together and even easier to use (very smooth rotation if your load is balanced). It actually holds quite a lot and is a good size for the average kitchen gardener. I only took one star off because the patterned grooves tend to hold water and can splash on you when you are rotating it - just be aware. I tend to have to lightly hose down the entire contraption after rotating it - but this is a great purchase all in all.

I needed a composter that would be close to the house during the weather months. I chose this one which turned out to be better than I thought. It comes package very well with each piece wrap in plastic. The plastic bin is easy to assemble with hardware that only a screwdriver was needed. Screwdriver is supplied with the unit. Once assemble the drum is very sturdy with two compartments. The door slides are not the best idea, but they work ok. The legs and mounting of the drum I think could be better. I would definitely buy another one if the time comes, but I believe this will last me a long time.

I'm enjoying the simplicity of it. The center piece allowing you to have two sides, i didn't use. I do larger scale composting but this system allows me to feed this smaller amount specific to my needs. I have two now.

I assembled it alone, and I am a 65 year old disabled woman. It was not easy and took me a few hours, but I got 'er done. It's quite sturdy and works well. It's smaller than I expected, but it's hard to get a sense of the size of a product unless it's in your hands. I wouldn't buy another one but for kitchen scrap composting, it's okay. Be sure and add plenty of dry leaves, sawdust, wood shavings, or shredded brown cardboard and paper in layers.

It wasn't hard to assemble, just time consuming. Its cheap, so I knew it would be flimsy, but I was looking for something to put under a deck out of the way and it does work. As others have said, the doors are too small, its a pain to put waste into. My inside compost bucket has a wider opening, so you need to line it up good or your start spilling it on the outside of the bin. Also a turning handle would be great, but it works without one.

It was easy to put together . The center divider came me some trouble.

Alles aus unseren drei großen Hochbeeten kommt rein, der grobe Kompostierprozess läuft im Sommer hervorragend. Großer Pluspunkt: Die leichte Handhabung, auch voll lässt er sich problemlos drehen – alle paar Tage zum Mischen empfohlen. Keine Schnecken, da bodenlos positioniert. Ein Stern Abzug: Abplatzende schwarze Beschichtung beim Auspacken an den Metallbeinen birgt Rostgefahr.

Looks good, easy enough to assemble, rotates fine and seems sturdy. , have 1 side full but it will be a few weeks before I can comment on the results of composting. Good value for money.
