The company makes non-toxic glassware, probably does the same for the ceramic mugs.The mugs are wide and tall so you can use 1/2 cup of flour in your mug cake without spilling.Only issue is the handle, can only use two fingers to hold the mug and it is heavy.

These mugs are attractive and well made and easy to hold. They can be used for your morning/noon/night coffee (which can be reheated in the microwave, since they are microwave safe). Or they can be used for brewing your tea or for holding a nice amount of broth/soup/chili/gumbo/cereal/oatmeal/etc.My personal favorite was tonight's hot chocolate. Because they are wide and can hold a lot (17.4 oz) I was able to have a big dessert helping of hot chocolate with a really wide swath of whipped cream spread wide and piled high.Because they are white ceramic (with a blue rim on the bottom), they can fit in with any style of dishware; and because they are big, they will hold a lot that can be easily held with the strong wide handle. Being stackable means they collectively take up less space in a kitchen cabinet, and can be easily retrieved for use. When done, simply put them in the dishwasher and they clean easily because there are no cracks or crevices to hold onto whatever you have in them at that time.These mugs truly are multi-purpose -- and they will remain that way with lots of used for a long time to come.

nNce Bowls

These were bigger than expected even though the product very clearly says they are 10 in plates. They are also very heavy (which I like in dishes). These are very versatile and have already basically replaced out everyday plates. They are perfect for pasta, salads, and rice bowls. The lip around the edge is about 1 - 1.5 inches high and it's great for keeping everything on/in the plate. I didn't realize how badly we needed these in our kitchen. They did take forever to arrive and I actually had to cancel my original order and ask for them to be reshipped. The set that was sent out as a reshipment came fairly fast. Worth the wait.

Love these! They are heavy but great for meals like pasta, beans, etc.

As a lover of wide bowls, this is 10/10 for me
