I ordered these for multiple household projects. There's a bathroom hand towel rack that the wooden rod broke on, and I've now replaced that rod with one of these. A fairly flimsy nightstand in the guest room was trying to crack, and I've now reinforced it underneath with a couple of these epoxied into place. I have quite a few left over, but they're definitely going to be tucked away in my tool box for other needs, because these are invaluable little steel rods. They feel sturdy, the size is great (I ordered the 6mm ones), and you get ten of them in a package, which is super handy.

All there, good fit and finish, as advertised. The shipping leaves something to be desired. Mine came in a box with other items, and they are just in a manila envelope from the manufacturer. The envelope ripped open in shipping (the rods are heavy and pointy after all), so a couple were loose in the box. I don't know how they would be shipped if ordered alone. They seem unharmed and remained straight as far as I can tell. YMMV.Worked for me. Buy based on price and size availability.

Lengths are close enough. The cuts on the ends aren't as precise looking as the pictures. Diameter is good. They are a bit more flexible than I was expecting, even for thin 3mm rod. Something to keep in mind if you plan to use them for axles.

These were all bent. They were intended to be used as a shaft for several gearsets which ride on evenly spaced bearings, but they are bent enough that the mechanism binds to the point of being unusable.If you're looking for precision, look elsewhere. If you're making tent stakes, they're probably OK.

Works for hobby projects

Product says the dia of 1.5 mm however we have received it dia of 1.6 mm.
