Great product, quick service. The rod could be slightly harder wearing but it’s a nice weight and good quality rope, good striker, and I love the compass and storage feature for extra rods. How easy is it to replace the rod? Thanks - solid product. Happy.

So this looks and feels well made and comes with clear and simple instructions that I followed closely. It generates a good quantity of sparks but try as I may (and I’m talking over 100 strikes) I can’t get the sparks to ignite the cord. I’ve tried it at various lengths but to no avail. I even lit the cord with a match to make sure it would burn and it did very quickly. At this rate I’ll have worn out the strike material before I get a flame. I’ll keep trying but my hopes of using this in an emergency situation are fast diminishing. Update-Did eventually get it lit by bending the wick upwards into the strike rod so can add a star! UPDATE: if you bend wick up with thumb into sparks, it helps.

Worth every penny this one. Hands down best I've tried, this is the surefire goto from hereon. Real easy to strike given its generous size, then the waxed cord, storage n compass, not sure what more to ask really. Solidly built, and well thought out design.

Light, well made ideal size for my emergency pack. I have stored the waxed wick in the storage tube as this may not be used for some time and I don't want the wax to dry out. Would be more practical if the compass was removable the same as the storage cap and the magnet holding the striker/ bottle opener could be stronger as depending on what activity and or how the survivale torch is being transported it could come adrift. Other than that this is a hand tool for carrying on outdoor activities.

Kids loved it, used it in light wind condition out doors and works fine. Recommended.

Very happy with delivery. As a lorry driver, outdoor person, camper and survivalist I think the product is a very durable, easy to use, long lasting and reliable piece of kit. I chose the xxl version and will be using it to light my fires for years to come even after the jute twine runs out the spark stick will be very useful. Buy one now people!!

Dieser Feuerstahl war ein schönes Geschenk für unseren Sohn. Es wurde noch der Name und die Handynummer draufgelasert. Somit würde es individuell gestaltet und die Freude war riesengroß. Jedes Feuer wird ab jetzt immer so angezündet. Und liegt dazu gut in der Hand und ist alles dabei was benötigt wird.

Fonctionne parfaitement, facile à utiliser, le frottement généré des étincelles suffisement grande pour faire démarrer un feu, les accessoires avec sont pratiques, le tout prend peu de place dans un sac, le top !
