Inside screen doesn’t fit or clip into cover. It falls down into vent hole. Actual cover does fit.

I purchased the 6" model. The inner grate would not stay by itself, so I didn't use it as I feared it would fall into the pipe I was trying to cover. I folded the fins by hand so that they would slip into the hole and snap back into place. It worked great. No need to screw it in place. Worked for my needs very well.
