I've had my e-reader for ten years. It's just as good as the newer e-readers on the market, with the exception that it's not backlit. I recently, reluctantly browsed the internet to buy a newer e-reader with a back-light, but lamented the idea of wasting money and adding to waste in the world by throwing out a perfectly functioning e-reader and replacing it with a new one. Thankfully, I came upon this LED reading light, that has many advantages and features, including, the build quality seems durable, not cheap; it's adjustable and flexible; it has brightness control and it has a rechargeable built in battery that is charged via usb. Not, only does this device work well with my ereader, but it fulfills my needs as a graduate student when I have to read late into the night or while traveling and I need a light to read my textbooks when there's no lighting or low lighting. The lighting projects evenly across the screen or pages, adding sufficient light to make reading in the dark easy. I am glad I researched this device over other similar devices, because not only did I save money by not having to buy a new e-reader for the back-light, but I'm saving money by not having to constantly buy new batteries or worry about not having a new battery on hand when the battery loses it charge. I just need to plug it in to recharge it. It fully charges within 30 minutes. A good buy!

I got this light bc my previous light zonked out after lasting 4 years. The one I had was no longer available. I looked through a lot of products and ordered this one. I am soooooooo happy with it. The clip is non evasive to the screen of my old ereader, the choice of 3 light kids is nice and each type of light has a very bright to low brightness adjustment. Some reviews talk about the time it stays charged. I charged it once to full capacity and i left it on for 2 hours now and it is still lit. It holds very well on all sides of my ereader. It is very flexible to adjust to an angle for easy reading. The size is perfect and it is going to be easy to throw in my bag for travel. Plug into any USB charger. It is easy to plug in to charge and use right away. I hope I have this light for a long time like my previous light!

Very useful reading lamp! I find the light a bit too bright even on the lowest setting and would have preferred a yellower sort of light which is better for the eyes and more conducive to sleep for reading in bed. As always, if the battery could last longer it would be better but it works pretty well as is. So I'm very happy with this purchase overall!

I only bought this for use with a Kindle but it just doesn't fit right. It snaps off of it when I'm laying on my side and reading late at night in bed. I have to be very careful how I move the Kindle. The clip looks like it's holding fine on the front but in the back, it doesn't lay flat against the Kindle and that's the problem. The brightness is fine and has plenty of settings to adjust that but I'm really not happy that this was advertised as for use with Kindles and it definitely is not. They should take that part out of their ad. UPDATE: I decided that the whole problem was the clip, so I removed it and have taken the flexible part that is meant to run through the clip and just taped that to the back of the Kindle with duct tape. Problem solved. Now it is exactly what I wanted with zero aggravation.

At first the instructions left me quite confused as they said to ‘pry up the plastic sheet under the spring’ to insert the light fixture. In fact, the light fixture arrives *already* inserted and ready to use. Then I pulled it out and couldn't figure out how to re-insert it other than to slip a nail file under one of the plastic layers and force it up. I’m always afraid to do that with rigid plastic pieces in case that’s not what’s called for and it breaks off. In fact, this plastic piece lifts up easily and the light re-inserts handily. The USB ‘plug’ is a little fragile and probably requires some care with repeated charging uses but overall, what a great buy. I couldn’t be happier. Perfectly for reading - ebook or hard copy - on long haul flights without irritating my neighbor with the overhead light.

When it worked, it was GREAT. That lasted about one month. It will not stay on AND it will not charge. Too bad, it's a great size and shape and fit perfectly on my book.

I was a bit confused on how to charge it at first but once I realized the clip part moves, you just slide it up to expose the USB charge part. It plugs directly into the USB port so no charge cord is required. You can bend the neck portion of the light for your needs. The lowest setting was plenty of light for me for night reading while my partner slept. Charges quickly and lasts hours. The clip holds the light to my kindle cover firmly. Zero complaints!

I've never had a book light like this one. It's so nice! There's 4 levels to the brightness so no issues there. The charging took me a second to find but then I realized it's a USB. It's adjustable and light weight. It doesn't slip off the book. And I like that the light comes off the clip so I can also use it as a bookmark! I recommend.
