The 55111389AF is a cabin humidity sensor designed to work with various Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Fiat vehicles. It plays a key role in regulating the HVAC system by monitoring interior humidity and temperature, helping maintain comfort and fuel efficiency. ✅ Pros Wide Compatibility: Works with many models from 2014–2019, including Chrysler 200/300, Dodge Durango, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Ram 1500. Cost-Effective: Aftermarket versions (like Newparts and GUZIKO) are significantly cheaper than OEM, often under $25. Improved HVAC Function: Many users report noticeable improvements in air conditioning performance and cabin comfort after installation. Easy to Replace: For those with basic mechanical skills, installation is straightforward and can be done without professional help. ❌ Cons Inconsistent Quality (Aftermarket): Some users experienced premature failure or no improvement, especially with non-OEM versions. No Instructions Included: Most aftermarket sensors don’t come with installation guides, which can be a hurdle for DIYers. OEM Price Tag: The genuine Mopar version is reliable but expensive, often priced over $80. Limited Warranty: Aftermarket parts may not offer the same warranty or return flexibility as OEM components. 🧾 Final Verdict If you're experiencing HVAC issues and suspect a faulty humidity sensor, the 55111389AF is a solid replacement option. For budget-conscious buyers, aftermarket versions like GUZIKO or Newparts offer decent performance at a fraction of the OEM cost. However, if long-term reliability is a priority—especially in extreme climates—investing in the Genuine Mopar version may be worth the extra cost.

This is for a 2014 Dodge Journey. I had bought this and 4 other China made ones from Amazon. Put this one in, the P1009 on the module is still active and a bad communication code is now active. Meaning now it doesn't even sense the replacement whereas the factory defective one just says P1009. Tried the other China ones, all of those are the same.. so any China made ones are the same like the module didn't exist. I had no choice to drive to the dealership and pay $80 for the factory mopar one, made in France, popped it in.. all codes gone. Wow.

My dodge charger ac would blow hot after 5-10 minutes, and the re-circulation light would blink when the button was pressed. The sensor wasn`t ready correctly so it was moving the vent doors blocking ac. Easy fix, Its located under a cover on the windshield, just above the mirror, on the passenger side. About a 2 minute fix for me
