Buy genuine bmw part and avoid this
Nightmare trying to fit this part and when fitted it only resolved the issue for a couple of weeks before having to buy the real part from bmw

Good substitute for original part
It's a good quality part and as a bonus comes with special three pin socket. Fitted to my F36 with ease and no more knocking. Comes at a fraction of a cost of genuine bmw part so can't complain as it works just as well.

Missing parts
Ordered this for my own car. Opend the box to find the special tool missing, one of the rubber washes missing on the insert, a steering rack gator clip missing and the spring insert missingNot very happy at all.....

Do not buy
The socket that came with the part did not fit, mechanic had to custom make one. Part would not fit correctly. Waste of money. Very disappointed.
