I have used many other similar straps. But they were either flimsy, did not adjust well, or they stretched out within a short period. This strap is sturdy, while remaining comfortable. I also have gone weeks without having to readjust.

Complete CRAP! Felt and very cheaply constructed

This chinstrap is very effective at keeping my mouth closed while I sleep. Unfortunately, it is scratchy and uncomfortable. It's the exact same shape as the insurance-approved chinstrap, but the material is three times as thick. The square corners of the flap dig into my ears. The one-size fits all must be great for big & tall folks, but with my petite head the ends of the velcro come almost to my chin! Once I'm asleep it's no problem, but it is uncomfortable until I do fall asleep. Fortunately, with the CPAP, that's only a few minutes.Four stars because it does what it says, but if you have a smaller head you might look for something else.

I'll first say that I do sleep exclusively on my back. Having said that, though, I do at times tilt my head to one side or the other on the pillow. I found the way the strap adjuster is on this head strap to be uncomfortable when I do this.Sadly, because of this, I can't recommend this strap.

I just starting using a CPAP machine in October and after I hated the full face mask swhich left crevices on my face, I switched to the nose mask which was much better for me. However, I was consistenly having air leaks, probably from opening my mouth, so I purchased a RES Med single strap Chin Strap, adjustable at the top. It was Ok, but it would sometimes slip off and unless I made it very tight I was still having leaks. I have been using the Halo Style Adjustable chin strap from Life Source for about a week and find it to be very comfortable. I love the second strap for support on the head and that both straps are adjustable. Most importantly the air leaks are gone!

Bought this for my husband to use with his cpap machine. He struggled to keep his mouth shut and the noise coming from him were awful. This allows him to keep his mouth shut and allows me to get some sleep. A+++

I guess I just have a small head. Doesn't fit tight enough to keep my mouth closed for my cpap machine. The stickiness of the velcro is good. Not too thick, but not too thin. Seems well made other than I can't get it tight enough.

It really works, keeping the mouth closed during sleeping. However, after a week I developed jaw and tooth pain. I tried tightening it, loosening it, but nothing prevented the TMJ. I've tried other similar products and none prevent TMJ. What does work for me is a cervical collar. It's awkward and thick but it does work without stressing the jaw muscles.
