It isn't apparent in the listing but this case does come with lid foam, in case you don't want to use the pocketed liner that you see. Or you can also put the foam over the pocketed liner to hide it, though the foam is likely to slip off the lid every time you open the case. In either case (pun intended), this case is pretty nicely made in general, with stiff foam precision cutouts to custom fit your DJI Mini 5 set. The drone is held securely in there and they put ample battery slots for most users. So in terms of protection, it's pretty good. When it comes to how well this hard shell case otherwise handles the elements, I'd say it works well as intended, as I was able to leave this under the running shower for quite a while and the contents were entirely dry. The latches are basic but easy to handle, and the grab handle is decently comfortable. The case is rigid and strong enough for normal use; I wasn't going to bash it against everything to find out it's breaking point but in general these worked great for transportation and accidental drops (or being dropped on). If you don't want the hassle of trying to custom carve out your own pick grid foam, I think this is a easy way to do it while still being pretty well priced.

Perfect case for my new DJI Mini 3 quadcopter, everything fits snug so it won’t clunk around inside. Lots of room for accessories and I don’t have to remove the control sticks when I put it away.

They have a few different cases on here all look pretty good. This case I feel has the quality I was looking for, snug fit for all the components (the good snug). Keeps everything secure and in place, no worries about anything knocking around. Hold everything from the Fly More package plus space for more (I bought more flight batteries just to fill it up). The price is a steal… for the quality of the case, the outer shell is thick and ridged. Quality materials. Loved how it came with precut controller slots, so you can fit 3 different sized remotes.
