I just bought these to not only hold the shap of my new boots ... but to correct a fitting problem. IN BOTH boot, the top of the foot was TIGHT and the boot fit a little tight everywhere and was VERY hard to put on and take off (even with a boot jack). I knew in time they would fit well. BUT I want a "break in" short cut. That is where this product came in. I took 2 boot socks on each fitter. The first was put all the way over each one and the second was put over only the front section. I sprayed the top and heel of the fitters With a 75% water and 25% rubbing alcohol solution until damp .... AND jammed them in! 2 day later, took them out and PRESTO broken in boots! They fit perfect AND went on easy and come of with little effort. Now NO boot is actually broken in until you wear them. So after a day walking a bunch, I discovered a small hot spot on the right instep (where a side seam was). So I took the fitters with one sock (that's how I store the boots) and got a wash cloth, dampened it and JAMMED (don't be shy PUSH it) it into the boot on the instep and did the 2 day thing again. As hoped .... hot spot GONE! Will it work on yours? I don't know, but these things are so cheap why not give em a try! BTW I bought mine ... how freebie here!

I have several pairs of these and love them. They keep the sape of my shoes and boots impeccable year long. Every pair has been exactly as expected, easy to insert and works forever.

I purchased these for my new pair of boots. It keeps them in shape and dry.

I wear 14 d boots. I bought the 12.5-15 X-large. I received the X-large labeled box which is labeled X-large CW12. They fit loose in my boots and barely stretch out the leather. Im using them for shape control and odor, but in my opinion theX- Large should be tighter on my size 14's. Quality appears good and they look excellent, smell is average to no smell. Price point is also average.

I have two sets of the cedar boot trees. One for my traditional leather boots and one for my ostrich skin boots. The fit is perfect for each style of boot and I love the way it keeps the shape of the boat true. Cedar boat trees have been around for a very long time and the reason is that they have always worked true to their expectations and these are no exception. Whenever I get through wearing my boots out I always make sure that I put the boot trees back in before cleaning them. I honestly believe that with the use of the boat trees and the right type of cleaners will extend the life of my boots for a very long time. I believe that the price of these boot trees are exceptional when you think about how much you can spend on a good pair of boots.

Excellent quality

I purchased these boot trees for my size 10B Lucchese women's boots. The ingenious folding, lever-like action allows you to get a taut fit in the shoe cavity, which helps lessen the day's creases. I am finding that the trees are making it a lot easier to apply the required cleaning and polishing to the boots, because the skin of the boot is now pulled flat across the upper and toe box. I have no complaints about the craftsmanship of the tree itself; these smell of genuine cedar and appear to be BIFL.

This is my 2nd cedar boot tree (CW12 M Large) purchase from FOOT FITTER and unfortunately it has been a disappointing experience for this purchase. On March 29, the boot trees arrived and the right tree was cracked at the top of the instep into 3 large pieces as shown in the first photo. I returned the trees for replacement which arrived today and again the right boot tree is cracked at the top of the instep but a smaller single chip shown in the second photo. I think I will glue the chip to the tree, I shouldn't have to fix a new item, but these trees really work well in my western boots. For my next boot tree purchase I guess I will need to look elsewhere. **************UPDATE*************** Within two days of my review posting on Amazon, Foot Fitter reached out to me to apologize for the bad purchase experience. After a day of texting back and forth about what maybe the cause of the trees arriving damaged, Foot Fitter generously offered to send a replacement set to make things right! Wow, that demonstrates Foot Fitter's commitment to Customer Satisfaction after the sale...a Stand Up Company in my book. A week later the gratis replacement set of boot trees arrived without damage..yay. I need to mention that the packaging this time was more robust and included bubble wrap to restrict product movement. Much improved compared to the way Amazon packed the previous two sets of damaged boot trees. GOOD JOB Foot Fitter and thank you! I change my rating to 5 stars.
