This is an excellent pump and has decent output. I use it for a small hydroponic setup and it easily pumps water 5' from the reservoir using a 3/8" line. The speed is variable with four settings. Default is 100% if you don't reduce it. I would highly recommend this pump and will be buying this again for another hydroponic project. The media could not be loaded. I really wanted this to work. It seems to have protection for running dry (which normally kills impeller pumps) and it has multiple speeds (selected by buttons and recalled correctly when power is cycled). BUT, mine won't start when set to its lowest speed. It just starts and stops repeatedly (see video). Maybe it thinks the rotor is locked? I disassembled the impeller and checked/cleaned. No help. It starts fine at the higher speeds, and seems to run OK at low speed if it was started initially at another speed. But I don't trust it. Returned and got a simpler pump with no fancy features.

While setup for a bit difficult and it made a horrible whining noise, once I adjusted the pump speed it seems to be working like a champ, I really REALLY like the electronics that are included with the pump, its well built and has a low water detector (i burn out a lot of pumps that go dry, and burn out over time) and never was able to come up with a solution. - this one has it built in!! - the 12v made it easy to wire, and I am really happy with it.. Hopefully 6 months down the line it will keep working.. stay tuned!

I REALLY like this little pump! I have a small outdoor fountain and I've been looking for just the right pump that is just small enough to fit inside the fountain and give me just the right amount of flow... not too much and not too little. This dude nailed it. I really like that you can electronically adjust the flow rate directly on the pump to dial in the rate that you want. For me, I have it up 100% but I turned down the voltage from my power supply (variable power supply NOT included with this pump). The flow is PERFECT.I appreciate that the pump detects a jam and stops itself. This killed a previous pump when my fountain went dry unexpectedly. Twice in the last two weeks I've had random attacks from squirrels where they completely removed the pump from the fountain. I just opened the pump, cleaned out the impeller and put it back in. Everything worked 100%!My only suggestion would be a better way to attach the included filter basket. Something with a positive lock. The current basket can pop off pretty easily, which leaves your impeller open to sucking in garbage.

Before you buy, know that this pump is small. The inlet/outlet are around 1/4" outer diameter. This might be the problem, because the one we bought kept getting clogged. After clogging the 3rd time, it stopped working completely. It lasted for about 2 weeks total. We are very disappointed.

Been running continuously in our fountain for 2 weeks straight. No issues.

I know it’s not meant for dirty water or even slightly dusty water. Believe me it’s super sensitive if you get a grain of sand in the shaft. It’ll shut off and flash and won’t reset until you take the 4screws off and rinse out the entire unit and replace the miniature mag prop wheel. Screw all the little screws back in as tight as you can put it back in the water and turn on. For a grain of sand. Just sayin. I like the option to select the different speeds. I wish the LEDS would turn off after a while as to not bug the fish in the tank, although it’s not too big of a deal. A very good quality, strong flow-great little helper. I’d definitely buy another! Just keep it far away from the bottom of any container and sand/dirt.

Great head height for a very small pump. LEDs look sort of funny. Hope it lasts longer than most pumps at this price.For 3 weeks this pump has been sitting in a brute trash can of saltwater. Once a day it pumps around 3 gallons over 10ft head height as part of an auto water change setup. Still working fine!

Antes de comprar essa bomba testei outras muito maiores e potente, mas nenhuma conseguiu superar os 2,5 metros de coluna d'água (mesmo as que prometiam conseguir), essa foi a única que conseguiu e com sobra. Os 4 controles de vazão realmente funcionam e ajudam a controlar o fluxo de água desejado. O único porém seria o fato de a bomba necessitar de um transformador para 12v, mas vale a pena.

Purchased due to needing a 12v water pump. This pump requires an adaptor, otherwise you need to butcher it to run straight 12v.

Vale a pena, muito silenciosa, potente, fácil de instalar, e tem regulagem de potência do motor. Só poderia vir com a fonte de alimentacão. Tive que comprar uma fonte a parte.
