I was rather impressed by these LED lights. I had thought "how impressed can you possibly be with a string of lights, really?" before getting them. And perhaps part of the issue was that I didn't pay that close of attention to the description, and hadn't been expecting them to have a remote control with them (yes, I see it's part of the picture now!), be dimmable (yes, I realize now that it's in the product title!), and have different settings for cycling dim/bright (though honestly, I really don't care at all about that - don't see myself using it). The lights and remote came nicely packaged in easy to open (and easy to recycle) cardboard packaging. I forget if there were instructions or not, but even in my absentminded way, it's awfully obvious what to do with these. The lights themselves are completely inline with the wires, have a really nice warm white color to them (not harsh white at all), and the copper wire easily blended in when I wrapped it all up in my fake bamboo plant.What could make this a better product? Two things come to mind. First, the string of lights comes rolled up nicely, and isn't at all tangled or bunched up. However, if you try to just pull on the end to string the lights out, it ends up kinking the copper wires. You need to actually unroll it to avoid it kinking. Not too hard, but it would have been easier if they were wrapped around a central tube or something such that I could hold onto and roll them off of. Second, these are not lights where you can just add another string of lights onto the end of it. If you need more than the 33 feet length, it looks like there's another product  Homestarry® Connectable String Lights on Copper Wire - 100 Warm White LED - 33 Feet Long ...  (that one is the base, then you can add up to 7 more strings of 33 feet, if I understand it right) that is exactly that, but if you didn't know about that and ordered this product first, you'd probably be a bit disappointed. Neither of those reasons are anywhere near significant enough to make me remove a star from my rating - just one of those "anything can always be improved, even if only in a tiny way" kind of comments.

I think the lights are well built... I can not deny that... but that is the best thing about them in my opinion. The battery box is well done... and def. great for rainy days. The lights have a decent covering to protect them from the elements as well. The wires are not flimsy like other fairy lights. On to the cons... which outweigh the good things... I feel some of the fairy lights that I purchased from big box stores that are solar... tend to be brighter than these which I find surprising. Also, the colors are not that vivid beyond the RGB colors. What I mean is the traditional Red, Blue, or Green colors are ok. The blue is a nice shade of blue. All the different colors on the remote... they do not look as good as other RGB led lights I have purchased in the past. Dull and off colors. I even tried em side by side to compare. Maybe it's all because of the remote... I'm unsure. But the remote is terrible. The lights only react to the remote if you are 2-3 feet away from the lights. Any more than that... good luck turning them on or off. These lights are ok... but I would not recommend them if you want something bright and to be able to control them with a remote from across the room or across the patio.

Super excited to use this for all the holidays but the white color is just a light blue. So... I can only use it for a non normal color

[UPDATED]See the old review below.The lights that were set in the fountain died about a month after I wrote this review. First, half the string went out, then when I took the fountain apart for cleaning, the other half burned out too. However, the second string set, which has always stayed dry, still works perfectly. Neither were constantly rearranged or moved.The paint on the remote also wasn’t actually flaking off, I just didn’t realize there was a plastic film over it until I started to scratch at it absently. >.>Anyways, I am lowering my score to 3, because either A) the lights are not designed to be kept in water for long periods of time and that’s not clear in the instruction sheet or B) one of the two strings I got just died before its time.[ORIGINAL]I got two of these and they are super cute. Much smaller, more delicate lights that I was expecting, which was a plus. I have one set up as underwater lighting for a fountain, and another coiled into an old candle lantern.I'd recommend this to anyone looking for some nicely priced string lights.Pros:Shiny copper wire doesn't detract from appearanceLights are bright and a pleasing warm white colorCan unplug from power brick to let you thread it through smaller spacesHas a remote with lots of settingsDoesn't get hot after being on all nightWaterproof lightsCons:One of the three copper wires came out of the end where they bundle into the black wire part. The light seems to be working just fine so not sure what that one wire was for...The remote's paint is already flaking off on some buttons (cosmetic issue only)And the biggest annoyance: The remote seems finicky. I often have to try turning the lights on or off several times from different angles before it works, even though the receiver is, (as far as I know) clearly visible.
