Quality cable

This is a very sturdy cable, really well made.I use it to link two 10Gbps switches together.It works perfectly, with both switches reporting a link speed of 10Gbps.CAT8 cables are rated to 40Gbps btw.

Excellent product

I needed a network cable to install into some trunking that would end up going through some walls so I wanted a cable that was robust. This cable delivered. It's high gauge, felt heavy duty and seems like it will last. I knocked a star off tho because in the process of fitting my own RJ45 jacks to it I did notice the quality of the wires inside seemed basic. The other thing is that the ground wires are all the same plain white colour (instead of being striped) which means you need to be careful to keep the pairs separate before you insert them into a jack. Each pair was well shielded however. Anyway it runs at 1 gigabit speed no issues. Cannot test whether its truly Cat8

Great Quality well packaged

My setup involves running a CAT cable from downstairs where my modem and router are located to a switch upstairs which connects a bunch of wired devices.I was previously running a long CAT6 cable, but the latch on it had broken resulting in even slight movement causing it to disconnect. Since I've now got 10Gbe and 2.5Gbe devices (switches, NIC's, etc), I wanted to replace the cable but also wanted something capable of delivering the speeds. The CAT6 cable would do that for the length I was running, but I figured that if I'm replacing it, I might as well go with a more updated category of cable. This cable does the job perfectly.As a side note: If you're intending to feed this through a wall (e.g. because it'd be unfeasible to guide it into the wall cavity and get it out the other end, or you're wanting to run it out to an external location), you'll need to drill a 20mm hole in order to get this through (16mm isn't sufficient, 18mm is very tight, but 20mm gives you the leeway to guide it through without it getting snagged).
