Old sins have long shadows
There is a ghost in Chillington Hall, a proper real-life (!) ghost, not somebody's overactive imagination or a malicious prank but a proper ghost, the ghost of Sir Thomas Giffard's ancestor , who is unable to rest in peace as there has been a wrong that needs to be righted. But the ghost is unable to tell the whole story so it is up to Lady Sarah to find out what happened in order to put things right again.A lovely little mystery, not at all spooky or scary but well intriguing. The problem is that it is too short - I know it is a novella...but still!! Good fun, fits in very nicely after Lady de Mandeville in Stickleback Hollow.
