Amazing Fun
I got these during the Christmas break when we had family coming over. This was an instance hit with my family especially my 8 year old nephew. The setup was very easy and intuitive. You can just pop the battery in and ready to play. There are 4 types of guns to choose from that makes it interesting and you can see the life remaining in your armor and gun. The sound effect is great, though I would have preferred a way to reduce the volume or mute it. I would have also preferred a way of knowing which gun have been selected. There is also no way to restart the game other than switching it off and on again, which means take the armor out. The whole set also needs 24 AAA batteries, but they did last for good amount of time so that's not too bad. Overall, a lot of fun and good value for money

Not super accurate but still fun to play
This a good value kit for the price. It's not super accurate especially indoors, I haven't tested this outdoors so I don't know if the accuracy would be better. What happens is it detects false hits even the gun is not pointing towards the target. I'm not 100% sure if it's due to IR beam bouncing off of the walls and the ground in the house eventually making the receiver read it. Instructions were not great and took us a while to figure out how the scoring works and how the settings on the guns and the chest piece align to be able to at least play and decide who won. There are different options such as pistol, machine gun, rocket launcher and each has a different reload time as well as hit points where rokcket launcher being the highest hit point but slowest reload. Overall we had fun in the house playing with the kids and not worried too much about who scored. If that's what you're looking for this could be a good option. If you're looking for accuracy I would not recommend this indoors as we had experienced multiple false hits during a single game. It could change if you're playing outdoors though that is still something we need to test once the weather is warmer outside.

Fun even for grown up kids
In spite of the fact that all my kids are grown up, I thought I would get this set so that my friends and I could have fun chasing each other around the yard and acting like kids again. To be perfectly honest, I don’t regret it one single bit. These little laser tag guns have been a blast. Getting everyone up and running is quick and easy and the battery life is surprisingly good, although you're going to need a lot of batteries. This set has been super fun to play with and I think it’s an outstanding value for the money. Highly recommended especially if you’ve got kids or adults who want to act like kids again. Have fun!

Family fun
These are definitely fun, for both kids and adults however the straps provided for the chest plate are not suitable for adults, it would be nice if they came with adjustable straps. Another downside if they are extremely loud, it would be nice to have a volume control.

An Imaginative Toy that Encourages Kids Activity
Feeling the pressure of our grandson's birthday rolling up rapidly, I was in a bind because I had bupkis for ideas for his birthday when I ran across this listing. I ordered it hoping for the best as many of these toy listings seem to over inflate the toy's utility and attributes. I was so glad this was not the case here and it was more than I was expecting. There are 4 guns and 4 vests/receivers, one of each color, which I'm sure will lead to all sorts of other combat regarding who gets what color with his 3 girl cousins when they're all over here at our house. The laser guns are actually infrared guns, which really makes sense as these are for kids. The whole set is a thick plastic which should last for a good long time with most regular play scenarios though unsure how they'd stand up if you have a rough and tumble smasher on your hands. I love the fact that the manufacturer actually included some detailed instructions and further, games that kids can play solo or with others. That is very nice as I've noticed a trend to not include instructions of any kind with toys which makes the toy in question a puzzle of sorts as well. Keep in mind that there are a number of AAA batteries required for this set so it'd be good to have a large number of those on hand. Another observation is that the IR gun doesn't always work spot on, but does enough to keep kids, especially if they're in the 6-12 age range, enthralled and playing hard. Older kids may get frustrated with this aspect of the set and want to resort back to video games which work somewhat more consistently but turn their brains and bodies to mush. Further, the value of this set, at its near $60 price-point, is pretty good and definitely cheap entertainment if you have to hold the attention and entertain 4 kids under the age of 10 for an afternoon, like we often do. I have no doubt this set is up to that task and then some and looking forward to giving our little guy a fun and entertaining toy that encourages physical activity and creative role playing. That includes Grandpa here who is looking forward to playing with the kids too!
