as a retired fire fighter these are just too handy to not have on hand
These are the same quality as ones I used for years in the fire service. Have put out many decent sized fires over the years with just a p-can (nick name in fire service for these). They are heavy but if you use a good sweeping motion and only hit the active parts you can knock a couch sized fire down in seconds. What I really like is they are basically free to refill as many times as you like. Just plain water and compressed air, no special tools the same air as you would fill a bike or car tire. These are great for CERT groups and to train people on how to use an extinguisher. It takes some practice to conserve water and be effective. Most people pick it up pretty quick. You don't want to do practice runs with dry chem units as they are expensive and messy to deal with. But with these you can practice as much as you like. Remember to use common sense and don't try these on oil or electrical fires. Other than that, you can't go wrong. Also, pressure gauges on these are notorious unreliable and not that important. You can test them in a very short bursts to check. To refill, just fill to the correct height with water (there is a tube that you fill up to where you can see it but not over). Some room for air is required to make sure it works properly, so don't fill to the top. And then after hand turning the nozzle assembly (snug, but not too tight), you finally fill to just over 100 PSI and put the pin back in.

Great fire extinguisher for class-a fires only
I use the stars out of these fire extinguishers both in my welding business, and for breaking up dog fights between my girls. The reliability and easy-to-use is outstanding. I also use these regularly and fire extinguisher training classes. I have probably discharged them at least a hundred times since I've purchased them and they still look and function like new

Very Pleased
Used on pipeline jobs during hot work. Same as our fire extinguisher inspection company for a 1/3 of the price.

Works Great!
Our CERT members love this, we can practice our Fire Suppression skills. This is also good to carry in our CERT Vehicle as a type A extinguisher. Very easy to use and recharge.

You need these if you own a home or shop.
First off, please don't be an idiot and think these come filled with anything. These are reusable fire extinguishers that you fill with water, then pressurize using your own air compressor, or tire pump. Expensive? Yes. But not nearly as expensive as losing your home to a fire because you didn't have a fire extinguisher. I bought four of these. One for the living area, one for the garage, and one for each of my shops. Having one of these around has saved my bacon once already, and it was a big time save too!!!

My husband likes to buy odd things
I didn’t even know we purchased these. But I’m writing this review anyway. They are just sitting in my garage and I had no idea where they came from and now I know my sneaky husband bought them. I guess if I ever have a fire I can use it

Solid Extinguisher
Great quality, solid construction, easy to fill and charge. I prefer to keep these in the house for class A fires and a CO2 extinguishers for B and C fires. These are much better than the cheaper dry powder ABC extinguishers which create a mess and destroy electronics.
