Used them to anchor down a fence panel using ropes when the two posts had started to bend. Incredibly high winds on 3 days and despite the force on panels they did not come out even though I only twisted them in 2/3 of the way!

Every year we have a few storms where even heavy wooden and metal furniture gets blown over. Lighter items such as wheelie bins, lightweight garden chairs, and in the summer the large tent have no chance in strong winds. I normally try to put stuff away or in a more sheltered spot when strong winds are forecast, but that can be a pain to do if I’m operating single-handed or if the forecast changes at short notice. Therefore, I thought I’d give these Lauyeboho ground anchors a try. They haven’t been put to a proper test yet and it's too soon to judge longevity. However, I’ve screwed them into the ground to see how easily that is done and taken them out again. Our top soil is pretty shallow, sitting on top of what I can only describe as rubble. As a result, I didn’t get these anchors in quite as deep as I would have liked. Using a metal bar for leverage, I did it manually. It’s not something I’d want to do too often, but despite being quite poorly at the moment, I still got them in. In the spring when I put them in properly, rather than as a test, I’ll use a power tool to do it - if you're struggling for breath, doing it manually is an effort. They felt pretty secure once in, but will really only be put to the test once I’ve got stuff attached to them. Getting them out inevitably left a little heap that required treading back into place. It’ll grass over again in the spring, but given the damage our dog does to the lawn, it’s not obvious to a casual observer.As long as they don’t corrode, I reckon these will prove their worth. For those with dogs, put something over them to make them obvious to a distracted dog, and try to place them so that any rope attached does not get run into (it’s something we have to be careful with when the tent goes up each year).I'll update this review in the spring or summer, once these anchors have had a proper testing, but so far they look good.
