Excellent.
Absolutely wonderful film!! Shame I cannot order the South film, because of BREXIT extra costs and waste of time at customs ;(

Wonderful irreverent humour
I love both Benvenuti al nord and its predecessor, the humour is laugh out loud funny and insightful into how Italians can laugh at themselves (never a bad thing for any country!). OK, it's a bit slapstick at times but holds the viewers attention throughout and you actually end up caring what happens to the characters in the film. Excellent, a film I will keep and watch over and over again!

Al Nord con gli Sudese
Absolutely brilliant follow-up to Benvenuti al Sud. This time it is the Southern Italians stereotyped view of Northerners. A little more serious than the south onebut then this reflects the attitude of northerners as oppsed to southerners. I suggest you get both and see them in order.

Funny but...
This sequel to Benvenuti al Sud was funny but not as funny as the first movie, the premise is almost the same as the first film, the difference being the southerners head up north. Great acting though and worthy of a Saturday evening's viewing.

Amusing and touching
Very funny sequel to Benvenuti al Sud. The two films together really make fun of the ways Italians are supposed to think about how different life in the north is from the south of their country.

Absolutely hilarious!
This will have anyone especially those with Italian background wetting their pants with laughter. The work from the 2 main characters in the film are excellent.

not what I actually expected
In my view the front photo on dvd is slightly misleading. The film by Luca MIniero ,which is ,or supposed to be a continuation of his first film ' Benvenuti al Sud-fantastic!)isnt as good as the previous one.The plot revolves around Mattia Volpe arriving in Milan and working with Alberto in a milanese post office. He( Mattia) not only works with Alberto but also lives at home with him and his family in Milan. The contrast between the South and the North comes into play again, and in showing it the director of the film done quite a good job: it does show well impersonality of life in a big city/ metropoly like Milan in contrast to intimacy and familiarity of Castellabate in the South.People here rush all the time, speed of life confuses poor Mattia and he has initial difficulty to adapt here, despite living and working with Alberto ( however at the end he manages to turn into milanese to dismay of his wife Maria : )).In fact Alberto himself at the beginning behaves towards Mattia in quite detached/impersonal way mirroring the lifestyle, pace of life in the North. After the first viewing I wasnt impressed at all. There are some really funny situations, play of the words in the film ,but at times Ive had an impression that the film loses its plot, at times it doesnt make sense or it feels to be out of the context. So, really is it a comedy-drama, a comedy or something else?...You need to warm up to the film , I believe after the second viewing it gets better , maybe this is also a question of a specific sense of humour ,which is much more visible, almost instant in 'Benvenuti al Sud' whereas in'Benvenuti al Nord' its less direct and it lacks continuity, Maybe also this is a question of knowing local cultural differences, traditions, types of behaviour...I will keep the film hoping that after couple of viewings more I will like the film and will appreciate more what it has to offer.: ))

Il film benvenuti al nord é una continuazione perfetta del film benvenuti al sud. da ridere da morire, solo italiani sanno fare

A Fun Movie
I thought it was very funny so I don't agree with the reviewer who says he/she is ashamed to be Italian. My husband who was born in Northern Italy and lived there for many years (still has relatives there) really liked it and is not ashamed to be Italian after seeing it. Italy is just like the USA - different accents, different customs in different areas, mistaken assumptions on how the others work and live, and this movie pokes loving fun at some of those differences. We have been spent time in Northern and Southern Italy and heard and saw this same assumptions.
