Cosmos Lac Chalk Effect Varnish Extreme Matte Spray Paint for DIY or Professional Use on Most Surfaces - Clear

I used it on a chalk painted project and it gave the exact finish I was looking for. Its easy to apply and dries quickly. The coverage is decent- I needed 2 spray cans for 2 coats each on 4 dining chairs. Although I used it sparingly only over aesthically important surfaces as its price hikes up my budget substantially. Prior to this I tried an inexpensive water based varnish. It is a matt finish but with the 3rd coat the it gives more like a satin or silky gloss which in my project was giving it a hint of enamel paint I dislike. I have attached a picture comparing the two finishes. Although in terms of surface protection, I dont feel as confident with this chalk spray varnish as with the inexpensive one. Useful Tips: 1. As with all sprays use it only in a well ventilated space, the VOCs are quite irritating. Also wear eye protection and mask at the least. 2. Be careful with the amount you spray and avoid any splinters or runovers as they often leave white marks or yellowish smudges due to excess varnish. 3. Keep shaking the can intermittently and spray with confidence, lack of which often results in splinters. Keep your hand in motion while u spray ensuring a uniform coat. 4. Mask any areas you dont want to coat or you will have extra cleanup work. 5. After every job invert the can and give it a couple sprays. This flushes out any residual varnish from the nozzle which may dry up and block it during storage.

I received this product on 15 th Jan 24. Wanted to try it on my 3 d origami items. Almost more than 200 with me in my collection. I tried it on 16 th Jan 24 on my , 3 d origami paper vase of pink colour. The spots that you see can not be wiped out by moist cloth. On white paper article it gets powder on it. Spray which gets on hands does not before 3 to 4 times hand wash. I wanted to dispose it but instructions say there is procedure for it. It's of no use for me. If you can take it back and arrange for proper disposal I have no problem. You can collect it from above address where you had delivered it. It will be of great help to me. It looks matte. Finally a matte product that actually gives good quality finish to your projects. Value for money and just good performance.

I have used the product in the past but it has happened TWICE that I was sent a can that didn’t work. I tried everything and I mean EVERYTHING but the SPRAY WONT WORK! These products are not returnable and quiet expensive. I have two full bottles just sitting in my storage.

It's scratch resistant but it has ruined the look of my product with drips and stains
