InnoMax Genesis 400 Gentle Wave Waterbed Mattress, Queen

This is the second waterbed I have owned. First the bad. It is not a waveless bed at all and you are going to feel a lot of the motion from your partner. Thats about it as far as bad goes with it. The lumbar support has helped a ton with the hip pain I was getting from my last waterbed and that is worth its weight in gold. I get out of bed with absolutely no pain now which is quite a change and I haven't gotten any holes in it yet which is surprising because our cat likes to claw these so it must be made of fairly decent quality materials. Great part is the price point, didn't have to break the bank and got a great sleeping experience.

I have filled it and am know sleeping on it. It came in good shape and I had no problem filling it. It is very comfortable and still has the waves I have come to expect with a waterbed but not as strong. When the dog (40 IB) jumps up it hardly move.

Fit into my waterbed frame well and was fairly comfortable. Ultimately I ended up going a regular mattress route as I was having trouble sleeping on a waterbed anymore.

Have it for a few months now. Good product, comfortable motion. Only wish the fill plug wasn't in the middle of the mattress, constantly noticing it with my feet while sleeping.

Really jostles you around when the other person moves.

My wife and I have been sleeping on this mattress for 18 months. It was fine until I had to move the bed. There is a layer of fibrous material that spans the mattress, under that is a smaller piece of flexible foam. On my mattress the foam migrated to the top of the fiber material and settled at the foot of the bed. The foam kept plugging the fill/drain hole while I was siphoning out the water. I used a long screwdriver to push the foam away from the hole. It moved back to cover the hole several times. After refilling the mattress the foam stopped me from burping the air out of the mattress. It took me two hours using needle nose plyers to pull the foam out through the fill hole. I wish the manufacturer had not added the foam pad. If I need to replace it some day, I will buy a different mattress.Update 2/10/19. I will make a long story short.My wife and I started getting headaches during the 18 months we were sleeping on this mattress. The headaches started small and slowly got worse. When we stopped sleeping on this mattress the headaches stopped. The mattress was releasing a strong vinyl sent. I removed the mattress from my home and our chronic headaches are gone.

Didn’t use yet just put some storage conditioner but it looks a lot higher quality than the old one I had, these help with my back pain anyways, it depends on the person like all mattresses, it’s all about preference and it seems to fit just that for me
